Release list
v1.2.3
Room-code parameters say where the code comes from and that it is case-insensitive; get_room_qa states its ~900,000-character limit. The README leads with signing in to the hosted server (https://askone.org/api/mcp) with OAuth, with Cursor and VS Code install links; the registry entry's token header is now optional. The local package still uses an API token.
AskOne MCP server v1.2.2 — tool descriptions agents can act on
Tool descriptions agents can act on. No behaviour change. Every tool now says what it returns, when to use it and what to use instead, which read supplies the code or id it takes, and what a write changes. Six independent review rounds checked every sentence against the code. The fixes include:
- Pages are fetched by passing the returned
next_cursorascursor. - A saved draft launches by resending its fields with its
request_idandlaunch: true. - Approve and hide act on waiting questions, and approve can also restore one the AI hid.
- Reads never return hidden questions.
The README now leads with the MCP server, and the listings say AI moderation is free on every plan. CI runs on Node 20, 22 and 24.

AskOne MCP server v1.2.1 — clearer tool descriptions
Clearer tool descriptions. No behaviour change. Every tool now says what it returns, when to use it and what to use instead, which read supplies the code or id it takes, and what a write changes. Five independent review rounds checked every description against the code. They found and fixed overstatements, for example: approve and hide act only on waiting questions, quizzes read back as kind: choice, and reads never return hidden questions.
Also: CI on Node 20, 22 and 24, CodeQL, Dependabot, and the Glama and CI badges in the README.

AskOne MCP server v1.2.0 — host actions
Host actions. An agent can now run an AskOne session, not just read it afterwards:
create_room,open_room,close_roomcreate_survey(poll, quiz, rating, word cloud; launched by default; results shown by default),close_survey(with or without its results on screen)moderate_question(approve or hide a waiting question),answer_question(mark answered, with an optional written answer)
Rooms land in the token's organization, on its plan and branding. Asking questions and voting are not offered: they are the audience's.
Tokens created before October 6, 2026 can only read. Create a new token (organization switcher → Manage → API tokens) to use the host actions, and revoke the old one.
