The film. On first open, Pip now plays a 35-second film: wide on the TV, tall on the phone. It streams from the website, so it doesn't make the app bigger. Press OK on the TV or tap on the phone to skip it. Without internet, Pip's hello plays instead.

On the TV

  • Now playing on the home screen.
  • Pip says hello: a greeting, small tips, what's new, and a notice when there's no internet.
  • A different landscape every day.
  • Your devices on the home row. Named HDMI devices (PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC) get their own card and open their input in one press.
  • One smooth scroll between home and all apps: no blank gap, and the clock stays.
  • Quick settings in three columns, with menu sounds.
  • Widgets are never empty.
  • You can forget paired phones.
  • A phone that leaves in the middle of a command no longer crashes Pip.

On the phone

  • The remote app is now 2.4 MB (was 10.9 MB).

Install. On the TV, open Downloader, type piptv.github.io and press Install. If 0.9.1 is already installed, Pip offers the update by itself. Phone remote: pip-remote.apk.
