v0.14.2
A run with an artifact chunk at the IPC maximum reads back
Summary
This release moves the Lode pin to v0.12.2, so a run that committed an artifact chunk of 8 MiB reads back through list events. Earlier releases reported such a run as succeeded and then failed to read it, because Lode bounded a JSON Lines record at 10 MiB and the chunk record is a line of about 11 MiB.
Highlights
- The reader accepts every committed chunk:
list eventson a run with a chunk atMaxChunkSizereturns its events instead ofbufio.Scanner: token too long. - The contract names the invariant:
CONTRACT_LODE.md§ Read-Back Invariant states that every record the runtime commits is readable by the run's readers, whatever the size of its chunks. A reader adds no bound of its own. - A test pins it: the reader test writes a chunk at the IPC maximum through the real write path and reads the run back.
