@pleomati pleomati released this 23 Apr 09:30

SecurePass Manager employs a robust multi-layered encryption system to protect your sensitive credentials. It combines industry-standard cryptographic techniques with custom security layers for enhanced protection.

Core Encryption Components:
Key Derivation:
Uses PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA512 with configurable iterations (default: 100,000)
Incorporates both salt (32-byte random) and pepper (fixed value) for defense against rainbow tables
Additional Blake2b hashing of the derived key for added security
Multi-Layer Encryption Process:
Layer 1: XOR operation using derived key
Layer 2: Byte shifting with reversed key
Layer 3: Position mixing (pair swapping)
Final Base64 encoding for safe storage
Data Integrity Protection:
HMAC-SHA3-256 verification for all encrypted data
Separate salt for each encryption operation
Comprehensive error checking at each decryption stage
