plugged.host's Wings: a fork of calagopus/wings (1.2.7) with
plugged.host's additions. It goes with
plugged-host/panel v3.0.4.
New in 3.0.4
- A fast lane for servers with burst CPU (the panel's memberships send
build.cpu_burst):
compressing, decompressing and Wings-side backups (wings, s3, ddup-bak, pbs) get
(1 + burst cores) ×the node's thread counts, capped at its cores; restic backups get
RESTIC_READ_CONCURRENCYraised the same way, and free servers' restic backups run at nice +10 so
paid ones win when the node is busy.api.burst_operations: falseturns it off. Servers with
unlimited CPU and no burst behave as before. - Parallel deflate for big ZIP entries: a file of 64 MiB or more used to be deflated on one
thread whatever the pool size; it is now deflated pigz-style in 1 MiB chunks on the pool (each
primed with the previous 32 KiB, so the ratio stays about the same), for every server whenever
the pool has more than one thread. Streamed zips (directory downloads) keep the one-thread path.

On a node, run it with its own configuration (wings-rs --config /etc/calagopus-wings/config.yml):
without --config it falls back to /etc/pelican/config.yml.
Releases are named by the panel's version; this one is v3.0.4. MIT, like Calagopus Wings.
