Features

  • Added an agent skill which can be used in both Xcode's agent conversations and external tools. Destinations is a flexible framework, but there are preferred patterns and this skill can help focus agents on using those patterns and best practices when building app features. It also includes an additional /new-destination <Name> action that can scaffold barebones Destination modules (Provider, state model, and View). See the skill README for installation instructions. Please note that despite the presence of this skill, the vast majority of the Destinations library is still written by a human, and I always expect that to be the case.

Fixes

  • performActions(for:content:) now runs any action collection bound to an Event, including an ActionGroupConfiguration. Previously it incorrectly only accepted ActionSequenceConfiguration, so an ActionGroupConfiguration action assigned to an Event failed with interactorNotFound. Non-collection action configurations now return incompatibleType.
  • The async performAction(for:content:) now performs presentations through the non-async implementation, so .navigationStack(type: .goBack) presentations go back in the navigation stack as they do with the non-async version. Previously it returned a misleading interactorNotFound error for presentation Events.
  • The async performAction(for:content:) now returns a new DestinationsError.presentationResultNotSupported error for presentation events instead of a misleading interactorNotFound. The presentation is still performed, however it is encourage to use the non-async version of this method for Destination presentations.
  • Added additional tests.
