Conquer GS 1.1 brings together the updates since 1.0 and a fix.

  • Volume controls: set the volume of the music and of the sound effects separately on the mission setup screen: off, or one of four steps. Your choice is kept from game to game.
  • HOW TO PLAY: three pages of instructions from the mission setup screen: the mission, the controls, the units and the enemy.
  • Esc pauses the game, and the pause panel lists the controls.
  • Fixed: on the mission setup screen the arrow could not reach the effects' volume buttons.

The disk holds CONQUER.SYSTEM, CONQUER.DATA, CONQUER.SOUND, CONQUER.TITLE and CONQUER.HELP. If you run the game from a folder on a hard disk, copy all five.

ConquerGS-1.1.po is an 800K ProDOS disk image that boots straight into the game. It needs an Apple IIgs (ROM 01 or ROM 3) with at least 1 MB of memory and a mouse, or MAME.
