Conquer GS 1.1.3 adds a way to leave the game.

  • New: a QUIT button on the mission setup screen (top right). It hands the machine back to ProDOS: booted from the game disk you get ProDOS's program selector; started from the GS/OS Finder you go back to the Finder.
  • Fixed for GS/OS: started from the Finder, the game used to overwrite memory that GS/OS keeps for itself. It now asks the IIgs Memory Manager for the memory it uses, and leaves GS/OS's alone. If that memory isn't free (for example with many desk accessories or inits), it says so instead of starting.
  • Includes 1.1.2's mouse fixes.

The disk holds CONQUER.SYSTEM, CONQUER.DATA, CONQUER.SOUND, CONQUER.TITLE and CONQUER.HELP. If you run the game from a folder on a hard disk, copy all five.

ConquerGS-1.1.3.po is an 800K ProDOS disk image that boots straight into the game. It needs an Apple IIgs (ROM 01 or ROM 3) with at least 1 MB of memory and a mouse, or MAME.
