Conquer GS 1.2.1 fixes the sound volume on a real Apple IIgs.

Fixed: the game ignored the Control Panel volume

  • The game now plays at the volume you set in the Control Panel. Before, a real IIgs always played it at full volume (level 15).
  • Emulators such as MAME don't use the Control Panel volume, so there the sound is as loud as before.

Thanks to the player who reported it.

The disk holds CONQUER.SYSTEM, CONQUER.DATA, CONQUER.SOUND, CONQUER.TITLE and CONQUER.HELP. If you run the game from a folder on a hard disk, copy all five.

Download

ConquerGS-1.2.1.po is an 800K ProDOS disk image that boots straight into the game. It needs an Apple IIgs (ROM 01 or ROM 3) with at least 1 MB of memory and a mouse, or MAME.
