Sunstone v0.29.2
Added
--browser(-b) opens the editor in your default browser once it's ready, for bothnpx sunstone-mdandsunstone serve.
Sunstone v0.29.1
Fixed
npx sunstone-mdis now actually published to npm (0.29.0's npm upload failed).
Sunstone v0.29.0
Added
- Run Sunstone without installing anything:
npx sunstone-md ./docsserves the editor to your browser at http://localhost:3000/, just likesunstone serve. It takes the same--port,--bindand--allow-hostoptions and runs on Linux, macOS and Windows.
Sunstone v0.28.0
Added
- Concepts can be read remotely as JSON or Markdown. Request any page URL
withAccept: text/markdownto get the raw file, or
Accept: application/jsonto get its frontmatter, body, links and
backlinks. Add?listto a folder URL to list the Concepts under it
(title, description, type, tags, timestamp; filter with&type=or
&tag=), or?q=textto search it. Works on Sunstone Web and under
sunstone serve; browsers still get the normal page.
Fixed
- The web page title is the Concept's frontmatter
title, or its file name
when it has none, matching the desktop window title. Signed in, it now
follows the Concept you navigate to instead of showing the bare file name.
Sunstone v0.27.2
Added
- Headings can have their own font. Set
fonts.headinginconfig.json
(a family, and optionally font files next to the config). It applies in the
editor, the rendered article, the web viewer and the PDF export. If you
don't set it, headings use the Concept text font as before. See
docs/interface/fonts.md.
Sunstone v0.27.1
Fixed
- The web server Docker image is published again; the v0.27.0 image build
never finished. The image is also smaller, since D2 only runs in the browser.
Sunstone v0.27.0
Added
- D2 diagrams. A ```d2 code block renders as a diagram in editing
and read mode, the web viewer and the PDF export. It is drawn in the
app's colours and follows a theme switch; colours you set in the
diagram are kept. D2 loads only when a Concept contains a D2 block,
and external icons are never fetched.
Fixed
- The print preview uses the light colours it prints with, also when
the app is in dark mode.
Sunstone v0.26.0
Added
- OKF v0.2 support. Bundles that declare
okf_versionin their rootindex.md
get spec-aware help in the Frontmatter editor: missing required fields and
wrongly typed values are flagged, and keys and values are completed. Plain
folders of markdown only get YAML syntax checks. - New Bundle… in the launcher and the Bundle switcher creates a Bundle that
declaresokf_version. - The Bundle root is found more reliably: a declared
okf_versionwins, then
the outermostindex.md, then the git repository, then the opened folder.
Right-click a folder and choose Set as Bundle Root to pick it yourself; the
Explorer header shows the current root. - A Concept's trust, lifecycle and sources show as one compact pill next to its
title. Hover it to see who generated and verified the Concept and when, its
status and whether it is stale, and its sources. - Dates from the Frontmatter read as relative times ("3 days ago"); hover one
for the exact date and time. statusandstale_after: draft, deprecated and stale Concepts are marked
in the Explorer and the header.- Authors, generators and verifiers are shown as a person, a process or an
agent with its version. - Sources entries show their author, when they were last modified and how
often they were used, link back to every place in the text that cites them,
and have an Edit button that jumps to the entry in the Frontmatter. A
footnote definition for a source is shown in its Sources entry instead of in
the text. - Attested Computation Concepts show their contract (runtime, parameters,
executor, attester) in a card, and their# Computationsection is set
apart. - After an update, Sunstone shows what's new in the installed version.
- The anonymous web reader uses the same Concept header as the app, with folder
breadcrumbs. - Pinned folders in the Explorer have an accent-coloured arrow, and the folder
of the openindex.mdis highlighted.
Changed
- Numbered citations (
[n]) are deprecated in favour of footnotes that name a
source id ([^id]). Existing[n]citations still work.
Fixed
- On Linux the interface fell back to the system font instead of Jost.
- Sunstone Web serves configured font files when
SUNSTONE_CONFIGis a bare
file name, and keeps$characters in configured colours and fonts. - Footnotes: definitions get unique anchors and always start on their own line,
and a footnote inside an image's alt text no longer shifts the numbering. - Links to
javascript:ordata:URLs in sources and contract cards are no
longer clickable.
Sunstone v0.25.1
Added
- Fonts are configurable in
config.json, separately for the interface, the
Concept text and code: a family, a default size, and optionally font files
placed next to the config. Zoom scales the configured sizes. See
docs/interface/fonts.md. - Sunstone Web reads the same
config.jsonformat, colours included, from the
fileSUNSTONE_CONFIGpoints at. The settings are already in the first
rendered page, and changes show on the next page load. - Every item in the editor, Explorer and table context menus has an icon, and
the table menu's delete items are styled as destructive, like Delete in the
Explorer.
Fixed
- The Frontmatter Region shows for
index.mdandlog.mdagain. - Selecting text inside a table cell keeps the selection, and Find highlights
its matches inside table cells. - Sunstone Web keeps the open Concept open when the repository behind it
changes (a git swap), instead of jumping back to the start page.
Sunstone v0.25.0
Added
- A Concept with
sourcesin its Frontmatter shows them as a Sources list at
the end of the document, numbered like the footnotes that cite them; sources
not cited in the text follow without a number. The list is only shown, never
written to the file. - Hovering a footnote that cites a source, or a title in the Sources list,
shows a card with the source's title, resource, author and dates right away,
in the app and in the web viewer. Clicking it opens the source: another
Concept in the app, or a web address in the browser. - The Explorer expands the folders leading to the open Concept while it is
open, and folds them back when you move elsewhere.
