pdd 0.1.13
pdd 0.1.13: check results are facts, not guesses; workflow chats that start, open and recover reliably; and plain words when PDD is busy.
Install or update
Update pdd and the skills together.
npm install -g github:promptdriven/pdd
npx skills add promptdriven/pdd#alpha -g
pdd --version # prints 0.1.13; warns when your skills are olderImportant
Do not run npm install -g pdd or npm update -g. The npm registry has a different package with the name pdd, and npm replaces this pdd with it (#2715). To update pdd, run the install line above again.
After you update, start a new agent chat, so that it loads the new skills.
What changes for you
- A check result is a fact, not a guess. A lint that the runtime refused or did not finish never shows as passed. A test passes only with the runtime's own pass for that test. "Not run" (exit 5) and "refused" (exit 4) say why. (#2796, #2798; #2556)
- Busy text in plain words. While a check waits: "⏳ PDD is busy right now. Your check is in line (2 ahead of you) and starts by itself. You are not charged while you wait." When the wait ends: "Not run: PDD stayed busy for 10 minutes, so your check did not start. Nothing was charged. Try again in a few minutes: pdd test ". Codes stay in
--json. (#2832; part of #2622) - Every test is found by its name and place. No scenario file is skipped silently for its size any more; the old 1 MiB limit is gone. (#2811, #2812; #2580)
- Workflow chats from one owner record.
pdd workflow openno longer says that a starting chat ended (native_session_unknown), and an area restarts safely in a fresh agent session. (#2706, #2720; #2545, #2627) - No layout registry. pdd finds a run's Herdr workspace and tabs from live Herdr by the run's worktree, and adopts an already open one. A stale saved copy can no longer stop startup or recovery (
herdr_layout_identity_changed), including the linked-checkout case reported on 0.1.12. (#2831, #2834; #2615, #2531) - Full step summaries. A PR overview that clips a step summary at 199 characters links to the full text. (#2799, #2800; #2789)
- Unchanged Stories are skipped.
pdd testskips Stories whose files did not change since their last pass;--lfruns only the last failures;--cache-clearresets. (#2780; #2707) - Change requests show delivery and the agent's acknowledgement, and requests sent while a chat starts are kept. (#2722, #2677)
- Approvals through your agent: a person's own words approve a gate or a draft (
pdd workflow approve --said). (#2755) - Concurrent workflow commands keep newer recorded steps, and the concurrent-done test now prints what it lost and no longer races. (#2753, #2813)
- No fixed job limit for checks; laptop uploads are bounded and configurable (#2704). In-repository symbolic links are sent as regular files (#2745). Recovery across independent clones, and a clear refusal for a bare repository stored in .git (#2664, #2702). Product status counts standalone saved checks (#2689). Contributor test fixes for PID records (#2731, #2732).
Still open
The server parts of #2562 and #2622 (in review), #2795 (an agent waits for its checks in one call), and #2829, #2830, #2838 (filed today). Next release: #2451 (one ready agent is enough for setup and workflows) and #2626 (a recipe for a fake port whose replies change).
Thanks
Thank you to everyone who helped with this release.
- @Howard-149: made the prove interruption tests wait for complete PID records, so they no longer fail under load (#2805, fixes #2731 and #2732).
