Compiled with Go 1.24.1. Please find the new docker images in the Packages section of this repo.

New features

  • Textual secrets: in addition to transfer files, now it's possible to send small (or large) texts. Choose the right option in the Web UI, or the --txt switch in the python uploader. As always: nothing is stored on the server, and both browser and CLI is supported.

Enhancements

  • Improved responsiveness: the ping/ web method is now long polling, so a download starts straight away and doesn't have to wait that awkward second until the polling period expires.
  • Env var takes precedence in python uploader: if you specify the secret token as FILEWAY_PASSWORD env var, it bypasses every other auth method. Necessary for automatic testing.
  • Better code layout that was quite overdue
