Add retro mode: Sonic 1, 2 and CD from your own data packs
- Back menu "Retro games" page switches between Sonic Mania and the
playable retro games; the app starts with the last game left normally - Transfer page: retro opt-in, per-game Origins/earlier-release uploads
to the TV or a USB drive (SonicWebMania/retro), folder creation, removal - Origins pack + earlier release: Origins game with the earlier release's
music and sound (Game:extraDataFile); either pack alone also works when
its scripts can run - Sonic CD 2011 packs are converted to a hashed RSDKv3 pack on upload
- Engine patch 0002: second pack fills missing files, absolute pack
paths, RSDKvB encryption keys, Ogg sound effects - tools/: pack table comparison and the Sonic CD converter in Python
- Sonic 1 and 2: after the title, a save screen (no save / four slots
with continue, new game and delete) and a character choice, including
Knuckles & Tails, Amy and Amy & Tails with the Origins packs - Saves use the games' own save memory (SGame.bin, the 2013 layout the
Origins scripts also write), so progress is saved as you play - The 2013 packs' title cannot start a game, so the save screen opens
in place of their demo - Sonic CD goes to its own 2011 menu (save slots, Time Attack, extras)
- Engine patch 0003: hook when a legacy stage loads
- Save screen starts with a mode page for the Origins packs:
Anniversary, Classic, Mirror, Boss Rush (experimental); Sonic CD
gets it before its own menu - Coins kept in RetroCoins.ini, shared by the three games
- Mirror mode: the legacy cores mirror the stage before the HUD and
text are drawn, and left/right are swapped (engine patch 0004) - Transfer page lists, downloads and uploads each retro game's saves
and settings (games//), staged while a game runs
