Commands in CLI

Hi,
I‘m trying to open qutebrowser with entering a command, specifically I want to open a quickmark directly.
In my quickmarks I set the name “testquick“ to open the google website. Now I want to open the site entering the following command in my terminal:

qutebrowser :quickmark-load testquick

Unfortunately I get the error message the parameter name is missing. But if I type the command inside of qutebrowser, them it works.

I hope my question is not tooo stupid….

Each :command is a string, including its arguments.

qutebrowser ':quickmark-load testquick'

Otherwise testquick is interpreted as the URL.

Hmmm…, it kind of works….

If I call the above command , it shows ‘No WebView available yet!’ – I actually need an instance of qutebrowser to be running already, only then the command works.

But also then…, if I actually run
qutebrowser —target window ‘:quickmark-load quicktest’
the quickmarker is opened in the existing window. But if I run
qutebrowser —target window https://www.google.com
a new window is generated….

(sorry, my browser transforms - - target to —target, if I leave the blanks away…. In the commands above there are two minus signs in front of target)

I'm not sure why --target window ':quickmark-load foo' doesn't open the quickmark in a new window, perhaps a bug or perhaps a limitation of how quickmarks work.
