Transcripted 1.1.74
Name speakers one meeting at a time, send feedback from inside the app, and F-key dictation shortcuts keep working after macOS changes how Fn keys behave.
What changed
- Speakers now asks "Who spoke?" one meeting at a time, the same way the island does. You get a card per meeting with a likely name, quotes from each voice, and Done to move to the next one (with Undo).
- Typing a speaker's name in the main app now suggests saved people as you type.
- Merging a voice can no longer save a blank name.
- Send feedback from inside the app, with screenshots attached and diagnostics only if you choose to include them.
- F-key dictation shortcuts (like F8) keep firing when macOS changes Fn or media-key handling.
- Whisper no longer makes up lines like "Thank you." or "Kiitos." over silent meeting audio.
- Saved writing keeps words whole in apps whose caret lags behind, like Ghostty, Chrome, Claude and ChatGPT, instead of saving one letter per line.
- Transcripted now offers to record Google Meet calls in Helium, both in a tab and in the installed Meet app. Thanks, Dustin Lewis!
- After you record a detected call, the next call of the same kind prompts again within about a minute instead of staying quiet for 30 minutes. Also from Dustin.
- Call-end auto-stop only counts down while its prompt is on screen, and the five-minute "no sound" stop still works as a safety net.
- When a paste can't read the clipboard, the hint now says why (too big, timed out, unreadable, or changed) instead of always saying it's too big, and a stuck clipboard can't hang the paste.
- The main window opens where it belongs instead of in the bottom-right corner, and ⌘F no longer shrinks it out of full screen.
- Opening Feedback after sending a report starts a fresh one.
- Write for Me (Developer Preview): the card grows downward so it stays under your pointer, and Insert names the app it's going into.
Requires macOS 26 or later and Apple Silicon.
