Transcripted 1.1.75 fixes speaker review, storage confirmations and Writing setup, and adds a dedicated page for file transcription.

Added

  • Transcribe a file now has its own sidebar page, with an audio/video picker, progress and a link to your saved transcripts. ⌘O still opens import; ⌘1–⌘6 keep their existing destinations.
  • The menu bar warns when Secure Keyboard Entry in another app is blocking your dictation shortcut.
  • Optional automatic recording of detected meetings, off by default and confirmed before enabling.
  • Speaker-name suggestions from active-speaker tiles in Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and Slack. Suggestions appear as “From the call” for review before you save them.

Fixed

  • Who spoke? review buttons stay clickable as the card changes height, and scrolling avoids repeated layout work.
  • Pending speaker names save correctly after moving the capture library.
  • Shorter meeting and dictation audio-retention choices show their confirmation instead of silently snapping back.
  • Writing → Edit setup can save with both Save my writing and Autocomplete off.
  • Opened meetings keep Copy, Show in Finder and the more menu in the header. Clicking the title or pressing Esc closes the card.
  • Today refreshes its clock once a minute without rebuilding the entire page.
  • The speaker database opens off the main thread during launch.
  • Whisper decoding and model operations are serialized. Silence filtering works per decoder window while retaining context around short speech at window boundaries.
  • Meeting microphone startup gets one fresh-graph retry after a failed start. Hotkey recovery and timed-out microphone cleanup avoid competing work and stale callbacks.

Updates

Updates now use a signed feed attached to each GitHub release. Existing installations receive the bridge to that feed through the previous update URL.

Requires macOS 26 or later and Apple Silicon. Transcription stays on your Mac.
