v1.10.0: Recall you can trust
v1.10.0: Recall you can trust
This release makes recall noticeably more reliable. It now finds exact terms that semantic search used to miss, stops the AI insight from making things up, and ranks battle-tested memories higher. It is fully backward compatible, so just redeploy to upgrade.
Highlights
- Hybrid recall: semantic and keyword search together, so version numbers, IDs, and names actually surface.
- Grounded insights: the AI summary above recall results no longer fabricates or claims things "don't exist."
- Smarter ranking and forgetting: recall is now contradiction-aware, and nightly compression protects memories proven useful.
Hybrid recall (#161)
Recall used to rely purely on semantic vector search, which can't tell near-identical identifiers apart. Ask for v1.9 and you'd get v1.7 or v1.8 instead, or nothing at all. Recall now runs a keyword search alongside the semantic query on every call and fuses the two ranked lists with Reciprocal Rank Fusion, so an exact match rises to the top even when its semantic score is mediocre. It applies to both default and tag-scoped recall, across MCP and REST. No schema change.
Grounded recall insights (#162)
The AI "Insight" line shown above recall results could confidently assert that information didn't exist, or speculate beyond your actual memories. Its prompt is now strictly grounded: use only the retrieved memories, never claim something is missing (it only ever sees a subset, not your full store), and no guessing or hedging.
Contradiction-aware recall scoring (#154)
Resolved contradictions are now tracked over time. Memories that survive a contradiction rank higher, and repeatedly-contradicted ones rank lower, so your most reliable memories surface first.
Recall-aware compression / adaptive forgetting (#155)
Nightly digest compression no longer collapses a memory based only on its capture-time importance. Memories proven useful by recall, or that have survived a contradiction, are now protected from compression. Inspired by adaptive-forgetting research (Titans).

Upgrading
Fully backward compatible. No schema changes, no new environment variables, no breaking API changes. Just redeploy. Existing memories behave exactly as before until they are next recalled or contradicted.
