v0.2.1
NSMBWCompiled v0.2.1
New Super Mario Bros. Wii, statically recompiled to run natively on Windows. This is an early release.
This download contains no game data. You need your own copy of the game.
v0.2.1 Changes
New Features
- Combination bindings: bind any action to up to three buttons pressed together (for example L + R). Hold the buttons together when binding.
- Open the options menu from a controller with Back + Start (- and +). F10 still works on the keyboard, and both can be rebound.
- Rebindable tab switching in the options menu (LB / RB, Q / E), in a new Options tab of the rebind screen.
- Players 2-4 can share the keyboard: set their controller to Keyboard and give them keys of their own.
Fixes
- Options menu Select and Back now follow your controller bindings (they were swapped after rebinding confirm and back).
- Pressing - and + together no longer opens and immediately closes the options menu.
- The - / + combination no longer sends - or + to the game on its own (which could open Select World on the map).
Known issues
- Players 2-4 set to Keyboard start with no keys bound. Bind their keys (including World map → Enter course) before using Add/Drop Players.
- Prebuilt shader list not complete for worlds past World 1.
- Animations freeze after a resolution change in a level.
- Volcano Smoke is invisible in World 8-1
- Performance will be optimized more in the future.
Requirements
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
- A CPU with AVX2 (Intel Haswell / 2013 or newer, any AMD Ryzen)
- A GPU with Direct3D 12 or Vulkan
- Your own dump of the PAL disc (SMNP01), revision 1:
.rvz,.isoor.wbfs. The US disc will not work.

Features
- Native PC version: higher internal resolution, widescreen, and frame interpolation up to 180 fps
- One-time setup with no config files to edit
- Keyboard and gamepad support, with rebindable controls (including button combinations) and matching button prompts
- Dolphin HD texture packs work unchanged
- Full save from the world map at any time; Exit works in uncleared courses
- Multiplayer: up to 4 players, each on their own gamepad or sharing the keyboard
