v0.3.0
rexdiff now behaves like herdr-reviewr in most places, and it has new review features.
Upgrade
Run brew upgrade --cask rexdiff. At the first start, rexdiff moves your v0.2.7 settings to the new layout:
~/.config/rex/rexdiff.luakeeps your settings. rexdiff does not write over it again.~/.config/rex/rexdiff_toggle.luaholds the toggle action. rexdiff writes this file at each upgrade.
If the action has an error, the rest of your init.lua still loads.
New
- Changed lines get a coloured bar and a light background, as on GitHub. Set
diff_signsto see+and-again. (#3) - Long runs of unchanged lines fold away. The right arrow key or a click opens a fold. (#2)
- Terminal editors such as nvim open in a Rex pane beside rexdiff, and
$EDITORworks. (#4) - In the rendered Markdown view (
m), you can comment on a block. Changed blocks get the bar, and a marker row shows a change that does not render or a removed block. - A mouse drag copies only the text that you drag. A click on a link opens it.
- On the PR tab, the right and left arrow keys open and close
<details>blocks.oopens the pull request in the browser. - The
directionsetting opens the split to the right or below. - The base picker (
B) lists the newest branches first, and tags the PR base, the default branch, and the current base.
Changes
- In the agent picker, a digit moves the highlight. Only Enter sends.
- Code search matches case if the query has a capital letter.
- A change of only the line ending (CRLF and LF) now shows, with a
^Mmark. - PR comments show their age, for example
3h. The PR tab shows at most 100 checks. oand link clicks open only http and https links. The opener runs with no shell.- The mouse wheel scrolls the file list and the search preview, and does not move the cursor.
-wraptakesonoroff.- The old herdr-reviewr key names
list-wider,list-narrower, andpreviewwork.
Fixes
- A slow git no longer freezes the screen at the start or the end of an agent turn.
- An edit that you save while a send runs is no longer lost.
- The branch scope works when
origin/HEADpoints to a deleted branch, and in a repository with no commits. - Sideways scroll is faster.
- Many smaller fixes, plus new end-to-end tests and docs.
