Highlights
Flo Assistant
An optional chat beside the canvas that builds and changes your flow. It is off until you tick Settings ▸ General ▸ Show the Flo Assistant; until then there is no button, menu or shortcut, and nothing is sent. Ask for "a bar chart of sales by region from my Excel reader" and it finds the nodes, adds and wires them and sets their options, and each reply is one undo step with its changes listed. Right-click a node, a selection or a frame for Ask Flo, including Why Did It Fail? on a failed node. What it may see of your data is two settings saved in the flow: how much it sees (from nothing at all up to real rows) and, column by column, whether it sees a column at all. It can also write node code, build report pages, and Propose changes you Keep or Discard. Each reply's receipt shows its token counts, and the cost if you enter your prices.
AI connections
Tools ▸ AI Assistant Settings now keeps several named connections (a local Ollama or LM Studio, a work gateway, Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter), each in OpenAI or Anthropic format with its own model, key, Max tokens, Thinking and Extra request JSON. A badge tells you whether a connection is local or online. API keys move into your system keychain the first time you open the app. Ask AI and the LLM nodes now share one client, so each picks up the other's retries and options.
Fixes
Ask AI no longer runs a suggestion's code before you have read it; only Apply runs it. Closing the app with a chart on show no longer crashes after the window has gone. In a paged web report, a section after a live chart no longer shows on every page. Ctrl+F Find Node now switches to the canvas tab a node lives on.

Highlights
One Slicer, many tables
The Slicer has a new filters output. Wire it into an Apply Filters node with a second table and that table is filtered by the same ticks, tree of columns and all. Where the second table names a column differently, map it in Apply Filters' Column names (region = sales_region).
Slicer fixes
A ticked value with spaces at its edges or a > in it no longer sticks. A tick on a value the data no longer has now shows as a greyed row at the top of the list, so you can see what the slicer is still filtering on, and None clears it.
Numbers read the way you set them
A Card embedded in a report shows its number exactly as the card does, using the card's Format, on paper, in the preview and in the web page. A Card with no Format, and numbers in report text and tables, no longer switch to scientific notation. Decimal settings in Properties show their shortest form (0.5, not 0.500000) and save once, on Enter or leaving the box, so a typed number is one undo step.
Browse opens where your file is
The … button beside a file or folder box opens on the file the box already names, or the last folder you picked from, instead of the folder flograph was started from.

Pictures that are just pictures
The Image node has new Title bar and Connectors settings. Turn both off, with Card background off too, and the card on the canvas is only the picture. A connector with a wire on it stays, and hidden ones come back while you drag a wire. A picture card now moves by dragging the picture itself.
Copy Image, Copy as Base64
Right-click a picture or a Matplotlib chart, on the canvas, a dashboard tile or a View window, and copy it to paste into another app. An animated GIF stays animated, and a chart is copied at twice its resolution. Copy as Base64 puts the same picture on the clipboard as a data:image/…;base64,… string for HTML, CSS or a Plotly layout.
Paste and drop picture files
Copying a picture in Dolphin or Explorer and pasting it on the canvas now works, and a picture pasted or dropped as a file is stored inside the flow byte-for-byte, so transparency and animation are kept and it travels with the project. Selecting a node that holds a big embedded picture no longer freezes the window.
Click a cell to put it in a formula
In the Table, type = and click a cell to insert its reference; drag or Shift+click for a range.
Smaller fixes
The pop-out editor for Properties text boxes edits the box as you type (one undo step, Cancel restores). A maximized dashboard tile no longer shows double scroll bars.

Highlights
Big flows stay quick
Select All, paste and dropped components now select everything in one pass instead of one item at a time, so Ctrl+A on a 400-node flow is instant. The scroll bars no longer measure every pin and wire after each click, and a run where many nodes fail no longer slows the window with the square of the flow's size — a failure only looks at what lies below it.
Save and Stop show their progress
While a workflow is being written, the title bar's Save Changes reads Saving Changes… with a spinner, counts up and fills from the left; during a run Stop fills the same way with how far through the flow the run is. Ctrl+S always visibly does something.
Reopening a project puts every canvas back
Each canvas tab reopens at the zoom and place it was saved at, folded tab sections come back folded, and a project pointed at its own .env file reads that file again rather than the default one.
Live report charts keep their shape
A live chart in a themed report's web page now honours its own height= / ratio=, in a columns block too.
Minimise the minimap
A corner button folds the minimap to a small square out of the way of the flow, and it stays folded next time you start.

Highlights
Input controls that behave like a form
Every control can now hold a change until you press Apply, so tweaking a slider on a big flow no longer starts a run each time it moves. Reset returns it to its default, and an Action Button can apply or reset a whole page of inputs in one step and one run. Controls can also publish a ${variable}, and any node's number, tick-box, dropdown or date setting can be bound to one. Controls can be marked Required, carry help text and take an accent colour. Text, Choice, Toggle and Date each gained options, and there are seven new controls: Date Range, Multi Choice, Time, Date & Time, Colour, File and Checklist.
Input Panel: a Power BI-style filter pane
The new Input Panel node holds several filter fields in one card, one per line. Its slicers filter each other, each offering only what the other fields leave, with row counts. Set Up Fields… suggests a field for every column of the wired table, and the new Apply Filters node reuses the panel's picks on another table. Example 37 shows a full page driven by one panel.
A faster app on big flows
Canvases with many nodes, busy dashboard pages and report editing are much quicker. Typing in a report no longer slows down when the project has Table cards. The minimap no longer redraws the whole flow on every frame. Cards and dashboard tiles pan and drag as cached pictures and redraw only what changed. Qt's picture cache is now sized to your screens, so those pictures stay cached on a busy page instead of being dropped every frame. The work per frame and per keystroke no longer grows with the size of the flow, which is what matters on slower machines.
Table node polish
Column edges resize again, new cards fit their ribbon, ⚡ Auto-apply shows straight away, and the card and full editor both have a maximize button (F11 in the editor).

Highlights
The Table becomes a spreadsheet
The Table node's grid now works the way Excel does, mouse first. A ribbon
(Home, Insert, Rows & Columns, Data, Review, View, Formulas) and right-click
menus on every cell, row and column header hold the commands; every button
says what it does and its shortcut. Edits can be held until Submit so a
big flow doesn't re-run on every keystroke, and anything that only changes
how the table looks — widths, colours, notes, frozen panes, groups, hidden
rows — re-runs nothing at all.
Cells take bold, colours, alignment, wrap text, number formats and notes.
There are Excel's tools for shaping data: Paste Special, Find & Select with
Go To Special, Fill Series, the fill handle, Format Painter, Text to
Columns, Remove Duplicates, data validation, dropdown lists, custom sorts,
grouped rows, hide and unhide, and a total row. Formulas gained seventy
more functions, named ranges (=SUM(Sales)), AutoSum (Alt+=), F4 to pin a
reference, Trace Precedents and Dependents arrows, and a selection summary
— Average, Count and Sum — beside the formula bar.
Charts and PivotTables from a selection
Select columns and pick Insert ▸ Chart (or Alt+F1 for the recommended
one): a Show Plotly chart appears beside the table, already wired to it with
those columns chosen. Insert ▸ PivotTable… previews the summary in a
dialog, then adds a Show Table in matrix or grouped mode. On a dashboard,
both arrive as a tile next to the table's. Dates across the top of a pivot
now read as dates.
Filter Rows without code
Filter Rows filters with dropdowns — a column, how to match and a value —
with wildcards, lists, ranges and dates, and no Python.
Steadier big runs
Stop no longer leaves nodes stuck on a busy flow, the window does far less
work per finished node, and a handful of fixes: Show Table's missing values,
Notes that keep what you typed, edge-scroll on a busy canvas, and a crash
some saw when closing the app.

Install with pip install flograph==0.1.24.
Node packs, and report pages that work as an app: buttons, live status, and
two new themes.
Highlights
Node packs
A node pack adds a set of nodes to the library in one go, in a section of
its own: connectors for one system, the nodes a team shares, or a capability
flograph does not ship with. Tools ▸ Node Packs… installs a pack from a
.zip or links a folder, shows each pack's version and what it still needs,
and opens its example flows. flograph pack does the same from a terminal.
A pack's shared code stays loaded between runs, so it can keep a model or a
connection open, and a pack can declare settings that get a form of their
own. A flow records the packs it used, and opened without one, its nodes say
which pack to install.
Buttons in a report page
Embed an Action Button in a report page on a line of its own,
![[Refresh Data]], and the preview draws it as a button that does what the
button does on the canvas: run nodes, a frame or the whole flow, show a
message, or go to a page. Set it to Run nodes, name your data source and
tick the new Update what follows, and one click re-reads the data and
redraws every chart and table built from it. Buttons are for the app only,
so the PDF and saved HTML leave them out.
Lines for the app only
Start a report line with apponly:: and it shows in the app's preview and is
left out of the PDF, the saved HTML and the Save Report node. One report now
carries both its working controls and the clean copy you send.
What a report can say about the app
![[flograph.status]] is a coloured pill showing whether the flow is up to
date, out of date, running or has failed, with when it last ran and how long
that took. It redraws as a run starts and ends. Thirteen more facts fit into a
sentence, such as Data as of ![[flograph.last_run]] on ![[flograph.date]].
They also cover the file, its size, node counts, memory and the version. Type
![[flo and the autocomplete lists them all.
Two new report themes, and smaller web pages
Studio sets Midnight's layout in Ledger's warm colours, and Swiss is
white paper, black type and one signal red, in the International
Typographic Style. Double-click any colour in the CSS tab to pick a new one.
A report's web page also spells out much less styling per table cell. A
30-row table's page went from 108 KB to 30 KB.

A small fix for report tables with conditional-format icons.
Highlights
An icon stays on the line with its value
In a report table, an icon beside a value — a traffic light from
icons traffic, an icon ✓ left, or two marks side by side — was joined to
the value by an ordinary space. When a column was squeezed narrow, the line
broke there: the value dropped under its icon, and that one cell made its
whole row twice the height of the rows around it. The mark and its value are
now held together, on the web page and on paper, so rows stay even.

Install with pip install flograph==0.1.22.
A follow-up to 0.1.21's report pages: tables in a report's web page are
compact under every theme, and a table with no width set uses the page's
width.
Highlights
Tables stay compact under every theme
A report's tables were compact with no CSS and ballooned under a theme: each
cell's value is a paragraph, so the theme's paragraph spacing and line
height reached every row. Under Aurora, a plain table's rows grew from 21px
to 36px. All nine starter themes now keep paragraph spacing out of table
cells and trim cell padding, so rows come out about the size they are with
no CSS. A width=100% live table no longer sticks out past the page's edge
under Dashboard, Midnight or Aurora, and a chart drawn as a picture is no
longer held to Compact's or Ledger's reading width.
A page keeps the copy of the theme it was given, so pick the theme again
under the CSS tab's Starter theme to take the new look.
A table without a width uses the web page's width
A table embedded with no width= was written at the paper's column width,
510 points, which a browser reads as 510 pixels. On a wide window it stopped
there and wrapped its text early. On the web page it is now as wide as its
columns and grows to the page's full width, wrapping long text at the page's
edge. On paper it still spans the text column, and width=90% and
width=280 are unchanged.

flograph 0.1.21
Install with pip install flograph==0.1.21.
The report release. A report page's web preview is now a real web page:
live charts, tables that sort, fold and search, and a sidebar, top bar and
tabs to find your way round it. It comes in six new themes and works with no
internet. Show Table also gets column headings you can fold, and one Plotly
Style can now dress every chart.
Highlights
Live charts and tables in a report's web page
Add |live to an embed and the saved web page shows the chart as Plotly
itself: hover for values, zoom, pan, and hide a series from its legend. A
table with |live sorts by its headings and folds its groups; |search
adds a search box over it. An embed that asks for neither looks exactly as
it does in the PDF, so the paper and the page never disagree.
A web page you can find your way round
Web Layout on a report page adds a sidebar of the page's headings, a top
bar of its sections with drop-downs, and pages you move between instead of
one long scroll. The page's address follows you: send it, and the reader
lands on the same page, with the same tabs open. In the text,
::: details makes a section that folds and ::: tabs shows one part at a
time. A few lines of front matter at the top set the page's title, the
heading in its bar and its icon. New reports now open on the Web preview.
Six new themes
Compact, Dashboard, Midnight, Ledger, Terminal and
Aurora each style the whole page, not just the text: the sidebar, bars,
tabs and tables, and the charts' own colours too. Tables with |live and
tables without it both take the theme.
Works with no internet
A saved report page carries everything it draws with: Plotly, the scripts,
the theme and the icon. Map charts draw their outlines offline too; the
world, the continents and the USA ship with flograph. It opens the same on a
plane or behind a company firewall, and a test now fails if anything in the
page tries to reach the internet.
An editor that helps
A report page's Markdown and CSS are coloured as you type, so an embed with
a typo stands out by not looking like one. Mistakes are listed in one row
under the editor: an unknown node, a misspelt option, an unclosed block, a
stylesheet that pulls from the web. Click the row to see them all, and click
one to go to it.
Show Table: column headings you can fold
Columns can gather under a heading the way rows gather into groups:
jan, feb, mar heading "Q1" puts Q1 over the three. Click it to fold
them to one column, which can be blank, a sum or an average, or a column
the data already has. A pivoted matrix now shows its levels as headings,
and sparklines can draw on total and group rows as well.
One Plotly Style for every chart
Show Plotly and Chart per Value (Plotly) take a Plotly Style on
a new style input. Set margins, the legend, fonts or chart rules once and
wire the style into every chart on a dashboard; a chart's own settings still
win. When you drop a wire on empty canvas, the list now starts with the node
that usually feeds that port.
Also in this release
- A table's
width=90%takes 90% of the web page, andwidth=automakes it
only as wide as its columns. - The mouse wheel over a drop-down or a number box in Properties now scrolls
the panel instead of changing the setting (Settings ▸ General turns it
back on). - The start screen shows the running version.
- Margins
0on a Plotly chart means no margins. - Locking a page from its tab no longer opens a stray list of panels on
Wayland.
