v0.1.1

This release only fixes packaging. It is the first release of tree-sitter-sql-polyglot on PyPI. The grammar and parse trees are the same as in 0.1.0.

0.1.0 went out to npm and crates.io, but the PyPI upload failed. 0.1.1 publishes the same parser to all three registries.

Install

pip install tree-sitter-sql-polyglot
npm install @relativelyunknown/tree-sitter-sql-polyglot
cargo add tree-sitter-sql-polyglot

Fixes

  • The PyPI source distribution builds again. The sdist build now installs brotli, which setup.py needs to decompress the committed parser.c.br parser files.
  • You can install from the sdist. setup.py now uses the already-decompressed parser.c when there is no .br file, and imports brotli only when it has something to decompress. Installing from source therefore no longer needs brotli. The sdist also includes the base src/scanner.c, which every dialect's scanner #includes. Without it, the 22 dialect extensions could not compile.
  • A failed sdist build now stops the PyPI publish. Wheels are no longer uploaded without their source distribution.
  • PyPI publishing uses OIDC trusted publishing, the same way npm and crates.io already do. No long-lived upload tokens are involved.

Upgrading

Nothing to change if you're on 0.1.0 from npm or crates.io: you get the same grammar. For everything that changed since 0.3.11 (22 dialects, the ANSI-only base grammar, renamed nodes), see the [0.1.0 notes](https://github.com/RelativelyUnknown/Tree-sitter-sql-polyglot/releases/tag/v0.1.0).

The release notes and the changelog entry in [RelativelyUnknown/Tree-sitter-sql-polyglot#7](#7) cover the same points. Two differences:

  • Trusted publishing bullet: this comes from the publish setup, not from a code change in this release. Leave it out if you'd rather list only code fixes.
  • Install section: this is new here. The pip install line works only after the PyPI upload succeeds, so publish the release before you share it.
