Not being familiar with Ember, I wasn't clear on how nested routes work. This example would definitely have helped me understand (assuming it's correct).

Yes, this is mostly correct. Each component also gets the key prop, but I think it's ok to leave that out of this example.

Right, and each route also gets params={{}} and activeRoute={null} but those didn't seem particularly relevant.
