Visual editor and 2.x import: <text> in normal text disappears on the saved page

Version: 3.0.2 (Docker), imported from 2.5.317 with "Convert to markdown"

1. Visual editor: <text> disappears from the saved page

In a visual editor page, <pool> in normal or bold text displays in the editor, but disappears from the saved page. No warning is shown.

Steps:

1. In the visual editor, type zpool replace -f <pool> as normal text.
2. Save the page.

Actual: the saved page shows zpool replace -f. Page Source shows raw <pool>, so it renders as an HTML tag.

Expected: < is escaped when saved, so the page shows what the editor showed.

Inline code is not affected.

2. 2.x import: HTML to markdown changes visible text

These changes are not reported in the import log:

IPv6 addresses in normal text lose sections in the same way as the MAC address.

Expected: visible text is unchanged, or the import log lists what changed.

I compared the rendered text of 56 pages on 2.x and 3.x. 13 differed, including commands.
