• In Window mode, a pin selects the large participant tile for the current caster only. No participant is pinned by default.
• H.265 can be selected in supported browsers. Sending and viewing require the respective codec support; H.264 remains the default.
• The caster toolbar has desktop captions, icons only on mobile, and a Leave button.
• Window/Tile and view settings move to the header before Online. The service footer is available by scrolling below the workspace.
• Corrected the STUDIO PLAYBACK label.

Updates for all three products

Fixed asset URL validation after the repository was renamed to resokol/castlink. Exact URLs for this repository and its previous name resokol/castlink-releases are accepted; tag, file inventory and checksum validation remain in place.

Older Windows Clients need one manual upgrade: download the rc.9 installer from the product catalog, verify SHA256SUMS, and install after ending your session. An older client may incorrectly report no updates. Normal update discovery works again after this upgrade.

For your own server, use the new Windows Server Setup or Linux package and the normal update procedure for your installation. Download the package manually if the older update checker finds no release. Updating the client EXE does not update the server. Participants receive the new web interface after the server is updated and the page is reloaded.

End active sessions and preserve necessary data before updating. Installation requires user action. Existing archives, tags and checksums are not replaced.

• Cleanup after successful updates and hourly for Windows Server Setup, standalone Linux and VPS. Keep current and previous successful image sets; remove older owned unused images and verified transfer archives.
• Keep at most one verified backup created by the supported mechanism. Preserve manual and unknown files, data, configuration, other installations, and images used by running or stopped containers.
• Protect sibling rollback versions and successful update history after a lost SSH acknowledgement. Cleanup shares the update lock and does not start stopped Docker or server services.
• Preserve the previous release's room creation password and creation-password recovery fixes.

Updating

Download the matching new package and update the existing installation outside a broadcast. After readiness, setup registers hourly cleanup using Windows Task Scheduler or systemd on Linux/VPS. Standalone Linux requires root and local Docker; registration failures produce a warning. Windows and standalone Linux do not create new automatic backups: save the backup you need before updating. An image set includes all services. Unknown older files are not deleted automatically.

Уже настроенные пароли сохраняются.
• Восстановлен обычный выбор источника и звука при демонстрации из браузера.
• Устранены ложные паузы удалённого ввода при наведении на поля видео и продлении того же разрешения; исправлены сочетания с Ctrl/Shift, отправка текста и восстановление ввода после изменения размера видео.
• И прочие мелкие изменения.

Обновление

Для старой самостоятельной Linux-установки с сообщением «Создание комнат пока недоступно» из нового распакованного пакета выполните python3 scripts/linux-compose-setup.py creation-password --state-dir /ваша/прежняя/папка --lang ru, задайте отдельный пароль создания комнат и обновите страницу. Use the actual existing data directory.

Update the existing installation with its new Linux or Windows Server Setup package off air: restarting services may interrupt active connections. Then refresh the room page and update the Windows client on the controlled PC. Data and configuration are preserved; updates do not create automatic backups. Reclaim control and Stop sharing remain the primary local ways to end control; physical Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F8 activation has not been independently verified.

• Управление демонстрируемым Windows-ПК через клиент CastLink: запрос, разрешение и отзыв доступа доступны в комнате из браузера и клиента. Остановка управления сохраняет демонстрацию; отдельная остановка показа завершает её. На управляемом ПК требуется актуальный Windows-клиент.
• Компактная панель показа с источником, запросами доступа и отдельной кнопкой остановки. В режиме «Окно» боковая лента участников занимает меньше места и сохраняет выбранную ширину.
• Эффекты камеры и обновлённое управление подготовленными PDF/PPTX; загрузка файла подготавливает его, а показ запускается отдельным действием.

Исправлено

• Исправлено создание комнат после самостоятельной установки Linux архивом: новый init скрыто запрашивает и подтверждает пароль создания комнат; прежние установки с отсутствующим паролем восстанавливаются командой creation-password без переустановки и перезапуска служб. Уже настроенные пароли сохраняются.
• Восстановлен обычный выбор источника и звука при демонстрации из браузера.
• Устранены ложные паузы удалённого ввода при наведении на поля видео и продлении того же разрешения; исправлены сочетания с Ctrl/Shift, отправка текста и восстановление ввода после изменения размера видео.
• И прочие мелкие изменения.

Обновление

Для старой самостоятельной Linux-установки с сообщением «Создание комнат пока недоступно» из нового распакованного пакета выполните python3 scripts/linux-compose-setup.py creation-password --state-dir /ваша/прежняя/папка --lang ru, задайте отдельный пароль создания комнат и обновите страницу. Укажите фактическую прежнюю папку данных.

Обновите существующую установку соответствующим новым пакетом Linux или Windows Server Setup вне эфира: перезапуск служб может прервать текущие подключения. Затем обновите страницу комнаты и Windows-клиент на управляемом ПК. Данные и конфигурация сохраняются; автоматическая резервная копия при обновлении не создаётся. Кнопки «Забрать управление» и остановки показа остаются основными локальными способами завершения управления; физическое срабатывание Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F8 отдельно не подтверждено.

Added and changed

• Control a shared Windows PC through the CastLink client: request, consent, and revocation are available in the room from both browser and client. Finishing control keeps screen sharing active; a separate Stop sharing action ends the share. The controlled PC requires the current Windows client.
• Compact sharing panel with source details, access requests, and a separate Stop button. The participant rail in Window mode takes less space and remembers its selected width.
• Camera effects and updated prepared PDF/PPTX controls; uploading prepares a file, and a separate action starts presenting it.

Fixed

• Fixed room creation after standalone Linux archive installation: new init asks for and confirms a room creation password with hidden input; older installations missing this password recover with creation-password without reinstalling or restarting services. Existing configured passwords are preserved.
• Restored normal source and audio selection for browser screen sharing.
• Removed false remote-input pauses when hovering video margins or extending the same permission; fixed Ctrl/Shift gestures, text submission, and input recovery after video resizing.
• And other minor changes.

Updating

For an older standalone Linux installation showing “Room creation is currently unavailable,” run python3 scripts/linux-compose-setup.py creation-password --state-dir /your/existing/directory --lang en from the new extracted package, set a separate room creation password, and refresh the page. Use the actual existing data directory.

Update the existing installation with its new Linux or Windows Server Setup package off air: restarting services may interrupt active connections. Then refresh the room page and update the Windows client on the controlled PC. Data and configuration are preserved; updates do not create automatic backups. Reclaim control and Stop sharing remain the primary local ways to end control; physical Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F8 activation has not been independently verified.

Исправления кастера и окон управления

• Нативные окна Windows следуют выбранной теме CastLink; выбор источника экрана оформлен для светлой и тёмной тем.
• Галерея кастера использует доступную ширину, чат стал на 15% уже, кнопки центрированы. В режиме «только студия» сохраняется локальный предпросмотр камеры. Полноэкранная плитка скрывает элементы управления при бездействии.
• Персонал может удалить самостоятельный инвайт, пока он не привязан к слоту; связанные постоянные выходы сохраняются.
• Для отсутствующего профиля микрофона используется оригинальный звук без шумоподавления и эхоподавления. Явно сохранённый речевой профиль сохраняется.
• Crop мультивью маскирует края без сдвига, изменения масштаба и пропорций исходника.
• В браузерной плавающей панели появилась кнопка «Компактный размер». Нажмите её, если браузер восстановил увеличенное окно; общий размер учитывает независимую кнопку STOP. Браузер по-прежнему может выбирать начальный размер самостоятельно.

Обновите сервер и Windows-клиент. Полностью закройте старый клиент и запустите новый EXE; самообновления EXE нет. Страницы обновляйте вручную вне эфира. Перед обновлением своего сервера сделайте резервную копию и завершите подключения. EXE без цифровой подписи. Физические PowerPoint, устройства и полный эфир отдельно не проверены.

Изолированный конвертер PPTX, прежние лимиты и серверные права сохранены. И прочие мелкие изменения.

Caster workspace and control-window fixes

• Native Windows panels follow the selected CastLink theme; the screen-source picker supports light and dark themes.
• The caster gallery uses available width, chat is 15% narrower and controls are centered. Studio-only viewing retains a local camera preview. Fullscreen tiles hide controls while idle.
• Staff can delete a standalone invitation before it is attached to a slot; linked permanent outputs remain available.
• An absent microphone profile defaults to original audio without noise suppression or echo cancellation. Explicitly saved speech profiles are retained.
• Multiview crop masks source edges without moving, rescaling or changing source proportions.
• The browser floating panel has a Compact size button. Click it if the browser restores an enlarged window; the shared size accounts for the independent STOP area. The browser can still choose its own initial geometry.

Update the server and Windows client. Fully close the old client before launching the new EXE; the EXE does not update itself. Refresh pages manually outside a broadcast. Back up your own server and end active connections before updating. EXEs are unsigned. Physical PowerPoint, devices and a complete broadcast have not been tested separately.

The isolated PPTX converter, existing limits and server permissions are preserved. And other minor changes.

• 未设置麦克风配置时默认使用原始音频，不启用降噪或回声消除。明确保存的语音配置保持不变。
• 多画面裁剪仅遮罩边缘，不移动、缩放或改变来源比例。
• 浏览器浮动面板新增“紧凑尺寸”按钮。浏览器恢复较大窗口时可点击恢复；共享窗口尺寸计入独立的停止区域。初始窗口尺寸仍可能由浏览器决定。

请更新服务器和 Windows 客户端。完全退出旧客户端后运行新的 EXE；EXE 不会自动更新。请在非直播期间手动刷新页面。更新自己的服务器前请备份并结束连接。EXE 未签名。尚未单独实测实体 PowerPoint、设备及完整直播。
