Dragonfly v0.4.0-alpha2 — Chroot & Jetpack Provisioning Actions
New: action: chroot — Environment Activation
Activate and deactivate chroot environments like a Python venv:
- action: chroot # activate
disk: auto
partition: 1
# ... actions run inside the chroot ...
- action: chroot # deactivate
teardown: true- Mounts partition, bind-mounts /proc /sys /dev /dev/pts
- Copies resolv.conf for DNS resolution
- Static CHROOT_STATE lets other actions query the active chroot
- Teardown unmounts everything in reverse order
New: action: jetpack — Pull Mode Execution
Run Jetpack playbooks from any URL, chroot-aware:
- action: jetpack
url: "https://example.com/proxmox-install.yml"
timeout: 3600- Downloads Jetpack binary from GitHub (or custom
binary_url) - Downloads playbook from any HTTPS URL or git repo
- If chroot is active, automatically passes
--chrootto Jetpack - Dragonfly-agnostic: works with any URL, not tied to Dragonfly server
One-Boot Provisioning
Together, these actions enable provisioning a complete OS inside a mounted disk image:
- action: image2disk
url: "https://cloud.debian.org/..."
disk: auto
- action: chroot
disk: auto
partition: 1
- action: jetpack
url: "https://example.com/proxmox-install.yml"
- action: chroot
teardown: true
- action: rebootThe machine boots once, directly into a fully configured system. No multi-phase installers, no systemd oneshot hacks, no mystery reboots.
Proxmox Template Update
Rewrote the Proxmox OS template for Debian 13 Trixie following the official wiki. This is an interim version that will be replaced with the chroot+jetpack approach once the playbook is written.
