reManager 2.0 redesigns the whole app, and it is the first release for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Your saved reMarkables, passwords, and settings from 1.x carry over.

New platforms

• iPhone and iPad on the App Store
• Android on Google Play, or sideload the APK attached to this release
• Mac App Store and Microsoft Store, in addition to the existing downloads, Homebrew, and Flathub
• On Apple devices, saved reMarkables, stored SSH keys, settings, starred mods, and followed developers sync through iCloud
• On a phone or tablet, long jobs keep running in the background, with a Live Activity on iOS and a notification on Android

Mods

• Discover has shelves for new mods from developers you follow, popular this month, recently added, and developers, plus category chips
• Search covers installed mods and the catalog together, and matches names, authors, and descriptions
• Mod details adds a Changelog tab so you can review mod upgrades
• Star mods to keep a list, and add them all at once on another reMarkable or after you reinstall Vellum
• Follow developers to see their new mods
• Browse the catalog without a reMarkable from the Connect screen
• vellum.delivery now has a button to open a mod in reManager

System tab

• The Maintenance and Utilities tabs are now one System tab
• Status shows each part of your reMarkable as a row, with its fix button beside it
• After an OS update, Status turns into numbered steps that bring your mods, launcher, hashtable, and timezone back up to date, and lets you review incompatible mods before anything is removed
• OS Manager opens from the reMarkable OS row

Connecting

• SSH keys can be stored in reManager. Import one by pasting it or choosing a file. On phones and tablets this is how you use a key
• Saved reMarkables show when mod upgrades or an OS update are available, based on the mods and OS from your last connection

Settings

• Support bundles and report a problem have been moved to Settings > Get help

Fixes & Tweaks

• Harden document import, backup restore, README rendering, and commands sent to your reMarkable against malicious input
• Write xochitl.conf atomically, so a dropped connection cannot leave your reMarkable without it
• Sort mod versions by version order, so 1.10.0 is newer than 1.9.0
• Show OS ranges such as 3.10 correctly
• Restore the read-only root even when a system task fails or is canceled
• Show a plain sentence when something fails, with the full error under Details

Removed

• The remanager command-line tool
• The tab visibility settings, since there are only two tabs
• The warning banner, replaced by the System tab's status rows
