Cursors 1.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@rohzzn rohzzn released this 16 Sep 02:07

What's new

Every community set. The Community section now lists all 11,548 cursor sets on rw-designer.com that download as one file, up from the top 500: 142 Minecraft sets, 106 Mario, 71 RuneScape, 70 Pokemon, 57 Sonic and thousands more. Nothing is bundled; a set downloads from rw-designer.com when you click it, and previews load as you scroll.

A sidebar instead of tags. The row of category chips is gone. The sidebar takes you to All packs, Built-in, Community or My packs, or straight to a built-in style, with a count beside each. Ctrl+Tab steps through them.

Sort and filters. Sort community sets by Most downloaded, Top rated or Name. Filters narrows them to full sets (all 15 cursors), animated sets, top-rated sets, or public-domain and CC BY licenses. The header shows how many sets match.

Fast with a big library. Only cards on screen animate and load previews, decoded previews are capped while scrolling, and search compares prepared text. A 12,000-set library opens in about 0.1 s, switches views in 1 ms and searches in under 40 ms.

Download

  1. Download Cursors-1.2.0-windows.zip below.
  2. Extract it, keeping Cursors.exe and the Packs folder together.
  3. Run Cursors.exe. The first launch adds Start menu and desktop shortcuts, so you can find it in Windows search.

If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", choose More info -> Run anyway. The app isn't code-signed yet.

Requires Windows 10 or 11 with .NET Framework 4.8.

Notes

  • Community sets aren't bundled. Each one downloads from rw-designer.com when you pick it, and is licensed by its author as shown on its page.
  • Left out: 23 sets the site marks as adult content, 4 with explicit or hateful names, and 4 with no cursors.
  • Cursors goes online only to show Community previews and to download a set or link you choose.

Cursors 1.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@rohzzn rohzzn released this 15 Sep 13:11

What's new

500 community cursor sets. A new Community section lists the most-downloaded complete cursor sets on rw-designer.com. That includes 23 Minecraft sets plus RuneScape, Mario, Zelda, Sonic and Undertale ones.

  • Previews: each card's preview loads as it scrolls into view.
  • One click: clicking a set downloads it, adds it to your library and applies it.
  • Credits: right-click a set to see its author, license and download count.

Search. Start typing anywhere in the window, or press Ctrl+F, to find a pack by name, style or author.

Import from a link. Use Add pack → From a link… or Ctrl+L, or drag a link from your browser onto the window. It works with a cursor set page or a direct .zip, .cur or .ani link.

Start menu and desktop shortcuts. The first launch adds both, so Cursors shows up in Windows search. Cursors.exe --uninstall puts back the Windows cursors and removes the shortcuts.

Download

  1. Download Cursors-1.1.0-windows.zip below.
  2. Extract it, keeping Cursors.exe and the Packs folder together.
  3. Run Cursors.exe.

If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", choose More info → Run anyway. The app isn't code-signed yet.

Requires Windows 10 or 11 with .NET Framework 4.8.

Notes

  • Community sets aren't bundled. Cursors downloads each one from rw-designer.com when you pick it. Each set is licensed by its author, as shown on its page.
  • Adult content is excluded. Sets the site marks as adult content are left out.
  • Offline use: Cursors goes online only to show Community previews and to download a set or link you choose.

What's in 1.0.0

  • The library: 60 bundled packs in the Minimal, macOS, Retro, Pixel & Gaming, Neon, Glass, Cute and Animated categories, plus the styles built into Windows.
  • Full schemes: every pack sets all 17 Windows cursor roles, with animated .ani cursors supported.
  • Restore default: one click puts back the Windows cursors, as does Cursors.exe --restore.
  • Your own packs: drag .zip, install.inf, .cur or .ani files onto the window to import them.
  • Stays applied: your choice persists across restarts, with no background process.
  • Requirements: Windows 10 or 11 with .NET Framework 4.8, which Windows already includes.

The cursor packs are the work of their authors and ship under their own licenses; see Packs/NOTICE.md in the download. The app itself is MIT licensed.
