v3.5.1 — repo-rename install fixes + design-analysis Complexity/Risk scales
A documentation and packaging-metadata patch. No code changes, no API or CLI changes, no behavior changes — every scripts.* import and invocation is identical to v3.5.0. The headline fix is that the install instructions actually work again after the repository was renamed.
Fixed
- Broken install references after the rename to
better-skill-creator. Several pointers still named the oldrolling-codes/-the-better-skill-creator-skill-, which no longer resolves — so the documented install path failed end-to-end:.claude-plugin/plugin.jsonrepositoryfield.SETUP.md— thegit cloneURL, thecdtarget, and the/plugin marketplace addargument. These were non-working install steps; following the README/SETUP would fail before this release.- The repository URL inside
CHANGELOG.md's existing version-compare links.
Changed
references/design-analysis.md— the scope-selection matrix now defines its Complexity and Risk criteria. Previously each was listed only as a one-line question with no scale. They now carry explicit low / moderate / high definitions, lined up with the activation criteria inreferences/independent-review.md§"When to run it" (the binary full-review-vs-recorded-skip decision), so the matrix and the review gate judge a skill the same way instead of drifting into two vocabularies:- High complexity ↔ a substantial new skill, an architecture or scope change, or multiple operating modes.
- High risk ↔ handling external systems, permissions, or destructive actions — with authorization routed to the existing Entailment is not permission section.
How this was validated
The design-analysis change was taken through the skill's own full independent multi-agent review (outcome-analyst, scope-adversary, architecture-reviewer, practices-reviewer + completion-adversary). The review earned its keep:
- Round 1 caught a blocking defect — an earlier draft cited rubric identifiers (
external_mutation,permissioned_or_destructive, anACTIVATION_RUBRIC) that do not exist in this repository (they had been copied from a different variant). The draft was rewritten to cite only the real prose criteria. - The release re-affirmation then caught two metadata inconsistencies — a README prose version line left at v3.5.0, and an over-broad CHANGELOG wording — both fixed before the completion-adversary returned complete.
skills/skill-creator/review.yaml records all findings, their dispositions, the synthesis, and the passed gate. Version is consistent across plugin.json, skill.yaml, bsc.py, and the README badge + prose. Local suite: 593 passed, 9 skipped; the on-main review gate passes.
Known limitation
The CHANGELOG.md compare-link footer is incomplete (it predates this release and recent versions already omit these links); the [3.5.1]/[3.5.0] headings render unlinked. Deferred to a future docs pass.
