Ubuntu 26.04 requires Trellis v1.33.0
New VMs and servers now use Ubuntu 26.04 LTS by default, which requires Trellis v1.33.0 or later. If your project uses an older version of Trellis, update it, or keep using 24.04:
- VMs: set
vm.ubuntu: "24.04"intrellis.cli.ymlbefore creating the VM - Servers: pass
--image ubuntu-24-04-x64(DigitalOcean) or--image ubuntu-24.04(Hetzner) totrellis server create
The first boot of a new 26.04 VM takes about 2 minutes longer due to an upstream issue (lima-vm/lima#4792). trellis-cli now finds the VM's IP even when the network interface hasn't been renamed to lima0 yet.
Breaking changes
trellis key generate --key-nameis now--name(#695)- Windows and WSL release artifacts are no longer published (#683)
