Added

  • A welcome window on first launch (and once after this update): what LanGuard does, where the icon is, what to do if it is hidden, and an Open at Login switch. Re-open it from Settings › About › Welcome Guide….
  • Opening LanGuard again from Applications, Finder or Raycast now opens Settings, so a hidden menu-bar icon no longer locks you out.
  • If "Restore Normal Networking (Panic)" fails, an alert shows the Terminal command to run, with a Copy Command button.
  • VoiceOver: the menu-bar icon reads "LanGuard, LAN", "LanGuard, Wi-Fi" or "LanGuard, paused"; interface rows say "Link up" / "Link down" (wired) or "On" / "Off" (Wi-Fi) instead of only a coloured dot; the Switch to Wi-Fi progress is announced.

Changed

  • Settings opens in a window with toolbar tabs, sized to each pane, with a title that follows the pane, and it reopens on the last pane. Settings, About and Welcome show LanGuard in the Dock and the menu bar while they are open.
  • Open at Login is now an opt-in: a first launch no longer turns it on, and switching it off stays off. LanGuard no longer shows alerts at launch about its login item; if macOS needs your approval, Settings › General shows an Allow in Login Items… button.
  • Menu items are Title Case (Restore Normal Networking (Panic), Re-Enable Connection Protection, Switch to Wi-Fi (Safe Unplug), Auto-Toggle Wi-Fi). Settings labels say what they do ("Banner when Wi-Fi turns off", "Progress window while switching", "“Safe to unplug” alert").
  • The Panic steps in Settings are separate, selectable lines, and an empty interface list says what to do. The Switch to Wi-Fi progress window has that title and larger instruction text.

Fixed

  • Settings rows no longer lose keyboard focus (or the VoiceOver cursor) every 2 seconds.
  • Turning off Start at login was undone at the next launch.
  • The "Used by another app" shortcut warning is readable in light mode.
