Threadline 0.3.0

Small Mac download, complete first-launch setup, and verified updates.

Install

Download Threadline-0.3.0-macOS-arm64.zip, unzip it, and move Threadline.app to Applications. This build is for Apple Silicon, macOS 13+.

On first launch, Threadline downloads its managed Node runtime from nodejs.org and the signed interface/service package from this GitHub release. The preparation page shows download progress, speed and estimated time; interrupted downloads can resume. Once prepared, installed components work offline. No source checkout, npm, Python or Xcode is required.

Upgrading from 0.0.2: replace the old Mac app with this download once. Notes, attachments and settings are retained; the old 0.0.2 shell cannot update itself online.

Changes

  • Managed, version-pinned Node runtime with official SHA-256 verification; no changes to system Node
  • Interface and local service installed together; startup checks version and active release path to prevent loading an old interface
  • Shared native preparation/update page with actual download metrics, stage feedback and retry
  • Signed feature updates with compatibility checks, atomic switching and rollback
  • Sparkle Mac application updates, About settings and persistent automatic-check preference
  • Cleaner native menus and sidebar; support for Claude Code, Pi and DeepSeek Harness retained

Assets and verification

The other assets (threadline-features-0.3.0.json.gz, runtime.json, appcast.xml) are consumed automatically by the app. SHA256SUMS.txt verifies all release assets. Native build: 10.

The app is Developer ID signed, but not Apple-notarized. macOS may require manual approval to open it. Intel binaries are not included in this release.

Validation: Node/frontend tests, Chromium/WebKit E2E, Swift tests and native bundle verification; signed production feature package tested in a fresh temporary installation and offline reuse. Public download verification is performed after publication.
