On the current master (41edaac), I ran x build clippy --stage 1.

This still happened after x clean.

I can't reproduce this. Are you still running into this issue? If so, does CARGO_CACHE_RUSTC_INFO=0 make it go away?

I tried it again and it worked. Very weird.
