These tools aren't included in a default
x check, but checking them locally is still useful for maintainers working on the tools themselves.This PR therefore explicitly checks them in a small number of CI jobs, to ensure that check builds for them continue to work.
The particular jobs chosen are mostly arbitrary. I wanted these checks to occur at least once in PR CI and full CI, without making any of the longest jobs longer.
