@s2underground s2underground released this 04 Nov 17:44

Blast 1.1

Two new modes and an offline Reference tab. Explosive-threat standoff (the CISA/FBI Bomb Threat Stand-Off Card) works as in 1.0.

New: Military ordnance (UXO)

  • Pick one of the six ordnance types in ATP 4-32.2 (Mar 2024), Fig. 31, to draw the minimum evacuation cordon (300–800 m, +50 m for more than one item; Unknown = 300 m or 675 m).
  • Say where you are (known path, possible minefield, or vehicle) to get the right movement drill.
  • Place it by map tap or by range and bearing.
  • The card has a DO NOW list and an EOD 9-line report that is saved on the incident. Never sent automatically.

New: Nuclear detonation reference

A planning and training overlay, not a prediction of a real event. No burst height is ever asked for or shown.

  • Yield: type any yield from 0.1 kt to 50 Mt, or pick:

    • a FEMA scenario;
    • a test or historical weapon;
    • a fielded weapon, chosen by country.

    Fielded yields are public, unofficial estimates, checked against the latest Nuclear Notebook (Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists) for each country.

  • Rings: FEMA's Severe, Moderate and Light Damage Zones, second-degree burns, 100 rad initial radiation, and FEMA's 50-mile Get Inside area.

  • Fallout: set the wind with compass buttons or an exact direction and speed, and Blast draws eight graded fallout bands (Glasstone & Dolan, Table 9.93) with an estimated arrival time.

  • Card: leads with "Get Inside, Stay Inside, Stay Tuned" and shows which zone you and your team are in.

  • Military picture (toggle):

    • Zone I / Zone II fallout prediction from legacy public doctrine (FM 3-3-1, FM 3-11.3), with arrival arcs.
    • Effective downwind message entry.
    • NBC 3 NUC text to copy, and an NBC 1 NUC observer report builder.
    • Place ground zero from what you saw (azimuth + flash-to-bang).
  • Never sent automatically.

New: Reference tab (works offline)

UXO safety rules, minefield and vehicle drills, marking and recognition, nuclear protective actions, shelter protection factors, fallout decay, dose effects, and the sources for every number.

Also

  • The selected incident collapses when tapped again.
  • Keyboards close with Done.
  • Export to data package, KMZ and GPX covers the new modes.

Install

Requires ATAK-CIV 5.6.

Blast 1.0

@s2underground s2underground released this 01 Nov 00:33

Blast 1.0

Explosive-threat standoff zones for ATAK. Pick the threat, tap where it is, and Blast draws the evacuation zones from the public DHS/DOJ Bomb Threat Stand-Off Card (CISA Office for Bombing Prevention / FBI Counter-IED Unit, Aug 2025 edition), with metric values from the 2024 Emergency Response Guidebook (p. 367).

Features

  • Eight card threats (Pipe Bomb to Semi-Trailer), or enter your own estimate in lb or kg (TNT equivalent). An estimate always uses the next row at or above it; the card is never scaled down.
  • Three zones as native ATAK shapes: mandatory evacuation (red), shelter-in-place (amber), preferred evacuation (green), anchored to a hostile marker. Every TAK client sees them, with or without the plugin.
  • Place it by tapping the map, at your position, at the map center, or on any marker from its radial menu.
  • Your position: distance from the device, which zone you're in and what the card says to do, plus a warning when GPS error could put you on the wrong side of a line.
  • Team view: how many contacts are in each zone.
  • Incident list with Go to, Delete, and Delete all cleared.
  • Share with everyone or with selected contacts. Rename, mark cleared (logged by callsign and Zulu time) and delete (this device or everyone).
  • Export an incident as an ATAK data package, KMZ (Google Earth) or GPX (Garmin).
  • Provenance in every zone: source, edition, row, who placed it and when. It's stored in the marker remarks and the CoT, so it travels with the data.
  • Fully offline. No network connections of its own and no Android permissions.

Requirements

ATAK-CIV 5.6.0 or newer.

Install

Download ATAK-Plugin-Blast-1.0--5.6.0-civ-release.apk below, install it, then load Blast from ATAK's Plugins menu. The user manual is included in the plugin.

Important

The card's distances are minimums to prevent life-threatening injury, not guarantees. Use larger distances in open areas, keep people out of line of sight and away from windows, and watch for secondary devices. Blast does not replace professional EOD, bomb squad or department procedures. It is not endorsed by CISA, the FBI or the ERG publishers.

Feedback

This is the first public release. Bug reports are especially welcome on multi-device use: sharing, deleting, and renaming from clients without the plugin. Open an issue here or contact S2Underground: s2underground@protonmail.com.
