Buntini 0.2.1
Buntini 0.2.1 gets everyday requests right more often with Apple Intelligence, by taking dates, times, names and rules from what you wrote and from the notes it reads.
Fixes
- Events from a note take the note's date, start time, length and place. Before, an event copied from a 2031 note could land in 2026 without its room.
- Events and reminders you describe keep the date and times you give. A reminder "15 minutes before" is due 15 minutes before.
- Two timers at once each get their own length. The second one no longer copies the first.
- Exact reminder titles you ask for are kept, even when the request starts with the date ("On May 20, remind me …").
- Plans that fit opening hours: a walking plan between places is worked out to fit their hours, how long you stay and the walk between them.
- Choosing between quotes follows the rule your note states, such as "the cheapest, unless they're within $5, then the earlier one".
- Handoff checklists keep each "who does what by when" on one line, including your own tasks.
- Checklists from a note list only what the note or your request says, and keep a detail you ask for, such as the owner.
- Questions about you that Buntini has no answer for, such as "What is my project called?" in a new conversation, get a question back instead of a guess.
- Cancelling subscriptions: the answer says what to cancel, what to keep and how much you save a month and a year.
- Finding a document you just added searches for its name.
- Times in your files, such as "the repair appointment is Tuesday at 14:20", are kept in answers that use them.
- Voice picker: offers every voice in your Mac's accent and one of each other accent, and lists each voice once.
Security
- Updates the libraries behind memory search to zip 9.2, which fixes five security advisories.

Install
Download Buntini-macOS-arm64.dmg, open it, and drag Buntini to Applications. The ZIP is an alternative containing the same app. This release is Developer ID signed, notarized by Apple, and includes stapled notarization tickets. Gatekeeper verification passed; disabling Gatekeeper or removing quarantine is unnecessary.
The app declares macOS 13 or later. Apple Intelligence requires macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence enabled; other brains require their own setup.
Verification
- Automated frontend, Python, Rust, native audio and release-tooling checks passed, with the source commit's GitHub CI green.
- Local Apple helper, four free public API integrations, and isolated startup/IPC/navigation checks passed.
- The app and disk image passed Developer ID, secure timestamp, entitlement, hardened-runtime, architecture, notarization and Gatekeeper checks. The ZIP and DMG contain the same verified app.
- SHA-256 checksums, Apple submission receipts, build metadata and independent artifact verification are attached.

Current validation limits
Fresh-Mac installation, macOS 13 device acceptance, physical microphone/permission flows, full real-app task/readback journeys, and sleep/restart behavior remain to be checked against this exact release. Paid/keyed cloud providers and ChatGPT acceptance were excluded from this review. Earlier controlled task tests use synthetic app observations and receipts. Apple notarization and automated checks do not establish complete model or integration reliability.
