Confirm before making calls or sending messages and emails.
Developer credit: tateu • sahinkaa
Rebuilt for iOS 26 by sahinkaa, inspired by AskBeforeCalling Too by tateu (Josh Harris). The original preference icon is retained. The confirmation engine and Settings pane were rebuilt for iOS 26.
Features
- Call confirmation from Phone's keypad, Favorites, Recents and contact-number rows, including the separate Contacts app.
- One Calls setting for supported phone and FaceTime dial actions.
- Confirmation before sending messages in Apple Messages and emails in Apple Mail.
- Contact whitelists, optional exemption for all contacts when calling and all/any-recipient matching for messages and emails.
- Custom confirmation text, button labels and configurable button order.
- Native Settings with persistent preferences on iOS 26.
- Settings changes take effect immediately without a respring.
The old Caller ID blocking, CallBar integration, message-notification options and separate Phone/FaceTime categories have been removed.
Downloads
Both packages are version 1.0. Choose the package matching your jailbreak:
| Jailbreak layout | File |
|---|---|
| Standard rootless | com.sahinkaa.askbeforecallingtoo26_1.0_iphoneos-arm64.deb |
| Native RootHide | com.sahinkaa.askbeforecallingtoo26_1.0_iphoneos-arm64e.deb |
Install
- Download the matching package and open it in Sileo.
- Install it directly. Do not convert the native RootHide package with Patcher.
- Respring once after installation, then open Settings → AskBeforeCalling Too 26.
- Enable the protections you want. Changing Settings options does not require another respring.
Existing AskBeforeCalling Too packages are replaced. Existing preferences are retained where applicable. If an earlier 1.0 package is already installed, reinstall the matching package from this release to refresh its developer credit. To remove the tweak, uninstall it in Sileo and respring.
Tested setup
Tested only on iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 26.0.1 with Dopamine 3 RootHide. Calls from the supported Phone and Contacts entry points, message/email confirmation, Settings options and contact whitelisting were verified on that setup. The standard rootless package has passed build and package validation but has not been tested on a device. Other devices, iOS versions and jailbreaks have not been verified.
Protection is limited to the supported app actions. Siri, third-party apps, notification quick replies, scheduled sending and group-call joins are not covered or verified. System-classified emergency calls and dedicated SOS URLs bypass confirmation.
The source archive includes both build configurations, build instructions and verification tools. SHA256SUMS contains checksums for both packages and the source archive. Report issues through this repository's Issues tab with your device, iOS version, jailbreak and the action involved.
