A new "Settings" button lets you change the backup folder used when editing files: the path is yours to choose, and changing it moves the files in the old path to the new one. The default path ~/.dsh/sidebar-plus-backups is unchanged, so upgrading needs no further setup.

dsh-sidebar-plus；Web 端在 DSH 终端执行dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-sidebar-plus。命令行管不了桌面端 profile，报managed exclusively by the Electron application属正常。 - README 删去一处重复句与已知问题一节。PDF / Office 预览问题在 DSH 0.2.0-rc.2 已实测正常。

Main change: English toolbar labels. With the DSH UI in English, the toolbar buttons (Edit / Find / Save / Exit / Save anyway / Reload / Edit right / Lines), hover tips, the find bar and the line-jump control all switch to English; the Chinese UI is unchanged. Labels follow the UI language DSH publishes on the page, so switching language in settings takes effect immediately. Restart DSH once after installing or upgrading, as this release touches the loader.
Also: installation instructions now cover both flavors — desktop (Electron) installs from the UI (Settings → Plugins → Add plugin, enter the package name dsh-sidebar-plus), Web installs by command (dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-sidebar-plus in the DSH terminal). The CLI cannot manage the desktop profile; managed exclusively by the Electron application is expected. One duplicated README line and the known-issues section are removed; PDF / Office previews are verified fine on DSH 0.2.0-rc.2. The compatibility stance is unchanged: no version constraint is declared, so neither DSH nor the plugin market can block installation on version grounds. Tested on DSH 0.1.7-rc.2 / 0.2.0-rc.1 / 0.2.0-rc.2.

dsh-sidebar-plus 0.4.2

变更：接管对象改由官方插槽指定
工具条的位置与外观不变。0.4.1 及更早版本自行解读页面结构，据此判断该接管哪个面板、文件是什么类型；因此可能挂到已经隐藏的旧面板上，文件路径也要从页面上猜。
本版改为向官方两个插槽（文档头部工具区、对比页文件操作区）各登记一个不显示任何内容的挂钩，面板归属与文件绝对路径都取自官方传入的属性。挂钩在位时，观察范围由整页收窄至右侧栏容器；挂钩缺失（官方未提供该插槽或已更名）时自动退回整页扫描，功能不受影响。
变更：二进制格式判定改用官方注册表
判断「这个文件的内容是不是文本」原先依据插件内置的一份后缀清单，官方新增格式就得同步补录。本版改以官方 documentPreviews 注册表中各渲染器声明的 binaryExtensions 为准，官方新增格式自动跟随。内置清单退为兜底：官方注册表用不上时仍按它判断；官方说不是二进制、而它恰好命中的（zip、exe 这类官方不渲染的类型），也按二进制处理，以免把工具条挂到「打不开」的空界面上。
其它
- 本版无破坏性变更，无需迁移：接管范围、界面与操作方式均与 0.4.1 一致。
- 无外部网络请求，无遥测；每次覆盖保存前自动备份原文件。
- 本版改动涉及浏览器加载器，安装或升级后需重启 DSH 一次。
已知问题（官方侧）
DSH 0.1.7-rc.2 内置的 pdf.js 6.3.289 调用了较新的浏览器函数 Map.prototype.getOrInsertComputed；内核尚未提供时，PDF 与 Office（文档先转 PDF 再显示）预览会报 this[#methodPromises].getOrInsertComputed is not a function。0.2.0-rc.2 实测 PDF 已可正常打开。
这与本插件无关，也不影响本插件的功能：.md 源编辑，以及 json / yaml / txt / csv 等文本的搜索、字号与编辑保存照常可用。想确认是否就是这个原因，可在报错页面按 F12 执行 typeof Map.prototype.getOrInsertComputed，返回 undefined 即是；提 issue 时请带上浏览器名称与版本。

Supported DSH versions: 0.1.7-rc.2 and later (tested on 0.1.7-rc.2, 0.2.0-rc.1, 0.2.0-rc.2). The plugin declares no version constraint (no peerDependencies or engines.dsh), so neither DSH nor the plugin market will block it on version grounds.
Pane ownership now comes from the official slot registry. The toolbar's position and appearance are unchanged. Earlier releases interpreted the page structure themselves to work out which pane to serve and what kind of file it held, so the toolbar could attach to a pane the official sidebar had hidden, and the file path had to be guessed from the page as well. This release registers two hooks that display nothing — one in the document header toolbar, one in the changed-file review's file actions — and takes the pane and the absolute file path from official props. While a hook is live the observer watches the right-sidebar container instead of the whole page; without one it reverts to scanning the page.
Binary detection now follows binaryExtensions declared in the official documentPreviews registry, so formats added upstream are covered without a change here. The built-in suffix list stays only as a fallback: it decides when the registry is unavailable, and it still protects types the official side does not render at all (zip, exe, …).
No breaking changes: the handled range, the layout and the interactions are the same as 0.4.1. No external network requests and no telemetry; every overwrite is preceded by a backup of the previous file. This release changes the browser loader, so restart DSH once after installing or upgrading.
Known issue on the official side: the pdf.js 6.3.289 bundled with DSH 0.1.7-rc.2 calls the relatively new browser function Map.prototype.getOrInsertComputed; on engines without it, PDF and Office previews (documents are converted to PDF first) fail with this[#methodPromises].getOrInsertComputed is not a function. Tested on 0.2.0-rc.2: PDFs open normally. This is unrelated to the plugin and does not affect its own features. Check typeof Map.prototype.getOrInsertComputed in the browser console; please include your browser name and version when reporting.

修复：不再接管二进制格式
DSH 0.1.7 起，Office（doc / docx / ppt / pptx）、表格（xls / xlsx）、PDF 与图片的预览视图与「纯文本」视图共用同一对外壳标记。0.4.0 及更早版本仅依据该标记判定视图类型，因而将上述二进制文件按文本接管：工具条被注入其视图，并提供「编辑」入口；点击「编辑」将报错，执行保存则以纯文本覆盖原文件。
本版改为按文件后缀判定字节是否为文本。命中二进制格式时整体不接管：不注入工具条、不提供编辑、不拦截 Ctrl+F。.md / .markdown 与 json / yaml / txt / log / csv / svg 等文本格式不受影响。
其它修复
- 工具条仅挂载于当前可见面板。官方切换页签时会保留旧面板并标记为隐藏，旧版据此将工具条挂载至隐藏面板，致当前面板没有工具条。
- 「行号」开关改按官方纯文本正文的
data-textpreview-plain标记识别，不再推断渲染器标识，官方调整标识后仍然有效。 - 对比视图（「本轮变更」）对二进制文件不再提供「编辑右侧」。
- 官方以整包字节投递内容时，源编辑视图不再呈现空白：可按 UTF-8 解码则正常显示，否则给出明确提示。
已知问题（官方侧）
DSH 0.1.7-rc.2 内置的 pdf.js 6.3.289 调用了浏览器尚未普遍提供的 Map.prototype.getOrInsertComputed，PDF 与 Office（文档先转为 PDF 再显示）预览将报 this[#methodPromises].getOrInsertComputed is not a function。该问题与本插件无关，需等待官方修复，更换浏览器无法规避。
其它

0.4.1 stops handling binary formats. Since DSH 0.1.7 the Office, spreadsheet, PDF and image viewers share the plain-text view's outer markers, and 0.4.0 and earlier classified them as text: the toolbar was injected into their views with an "Edit" entry that either failed or overwrote the file as plain text. The decision is now made by file suffix, and binary formats are left alone entirely.
Also fixed: the toolbar attaches only to the currently visible pane (the official sidebar keeps previous panes in the DOM with a hidden marker, and earlier versions attached the toolbar there); the line-number toggle keys off the official data-textpreview-plain marker instead of inferring the renderer id; the comparison view offers no "Edit right side" for binary files; and whole-file byte delivery no longer leaves the source view blank.
Known issue on the official side: the pdf.js 6.3.289 bundled with DSH 0.1.7-rc.2 calls Map.prototype.getOrInsertComputed, which browsers do not widely provide yet, so PDF and Office previews fail with this[#methodPromises].getOrInsertComputed is not a function. This is unrelated to the plugin and requires an upstream fix.

为官方「本轮变更」左右对比页增加同款工具条，位于官方头部下方，随文档流排布。
- 搜索：默认双侧同时搜索；可切换为仅左侧或仅右侧，切换后「上一处 / 下一处」仅在所选一侧内定位，不再跨越另一侧。
- 字号：双侧同步缩放；点击中间数值恢复官方默认字号。
- 编辑（仅右侧）：左侧为本轮起始快照，只读；右侧为磁盘上的当前文件。
- 支持点击对比行确定编辑起始行；编辑态支持按行号跳转。
- 官方视图为单栏或自动换行时，先切换为左右分栏且不换行。
- 保存、退出、冲突处理与覆盖前备份，均与既有编辑功能保持一致。
- 单边对比（仅新增或仅删除）无左右分栏，编辑器占满对比区域。
修复
- 进入编辑时视图跳至文件末尾的问题（原因为写入全文后聚焦）。现光标定位至所选行；未选定时定位至可视区中部。
内部加固
- 对比页编辑器改为先挂载、成功后再隐藏官方内容，挂载失败不再使官方对比页停留在隐藏状态。
- 文档预览与对比页的搜索高亮使用独立命名空间，两侧同时开启时互不影响。
- 保存过程中切换文件不再产生未捕获异常。
- 增加版本一致性自检：
package.json、宿主加载器与两个热件的版本号必须一致。
其它
- 版本号由 0.3.8 升至 0.4.0。
- 无外部网络请求与遥测；新增两项本地设置：对比视图缩放、对比视图搜索范围。

Support for the official comparison view introduced in DSH 0.1.7-rc.2: a toolbar under the official header providing both-side or one-side search, synchronised font scaling for both sides, and right-side-only editing starting at the selected comparison row. Also fixes the caret jumping to the end of the file when entering edit mode.
