v0.6.3.2

What's new

  • New reading submissions with reliable scores can create article-level SM-2 review plans with automatic accuracy grading. First perfect attempts do not create a plan; full-mark retakes still advance an existing plan. Upgrading or importing historical practice records alone does not automatically enroll all history. Plans remain separate by article and library source, including reading passages within test sets.
  • Question-bank cards with an available review task can launch article replays. Completion refreshes the review-task index before repainting the cards.
  • Replay annotation updates validate canonical article identities while preserving the original stored annotation keys. Backup merges retain the review-plan revision they read; conflicting concurrent review changes reject stale writes and require a fresh read or merge preview.
  • Completion state follows article identity across libraries and migrations, including matching records created before a library was imported; cold startup loads the saved practice projection. Legacy title, path, or filename fallback requires a unique match. Shared completion state does not merge library-specific review plans.
  • Reading PDF availability is handled consistently across browsing, counts, bookshelf actions, and launch flows. Entries with unavailable PDFs retain their metadata and any HTML practice entry points. This change does not supply missing PDFs; opening a PDF still requires its corresponding local file.
  • November high-, medium-, and low-frequency labels and month metadata have been updated. Existing article IDs remain stable; filters and sorting use the frequency fields.

Fixes and refinements

  • Consolidated legacy article identifiers p2-high-192, p2-low-051, and p2-medium-058 into p2-low-104, p2-low-140, and p2-low-147. Existing saved records, favorites, and vocabulary sources retain compatibility. The six legacy reading/explanation files retained in the tagged tree are not re-enabled in the active catalog.
  • Improved reading/listening classification when registering reviews and resolved stale browsing-selection and activation races.
  • Added Intro labels to unlabelled lead blocks, added A-H paragraph labels to p2-medium-243, and restored the termite-mound diagram.
  • Updated the embedded application version and diagnostic/build metadata to 0.6.3.2, including support for four-part version numbers in diagnostic exports.

Download and run

Download ielts-practice-0.6.3.2.zip, extract the complete archive, and open index.html. The same extracted files can be served over local HTTP or a static HTTPS host. Node.js and build tools are not required to use the application.

The ZIP contains 527 runtime files. It excludes READMEs, demo GIFs, development sources and documentation, tests, build tools, and the ReadingPractice/ PDF directory. The default INCLUDE_LOCAL_LISTENING=0 distribution includes the application listening wrapper at assets/generated/listening-exams/listening-practice-unified.html; optional local listening indexes, audio, and private question banks are excluded.

The separate 543-file tagged tree also preserves exactly 16 approved extras: license/Git distribution metadata, both READMEs, both release notes, three README GIFs, and six legacy reading/explanation files. GitHub's automatically generated tag archives therefore differ from the uploaded runtime ZIP. The opensource and main source trees include development sources and tools; build/test commands require a source checkout because developer/ and scripts/ are absent from both the runtime ZIP and tagged tree.

The READMEs in the published tag remain preserved from the qualified source as required for this release. Development-documentation links refer to files available in the qualified source tree, including the diagnostics acceptance guide, reading analytics contract, and reading timing contract.

Documentation follow-up (2026-11-05)

Release wording was clarified under #269, following PR #271. The accepted source documentation is available in the release notes, English README, and Chinese README.

These source documents were corrected after publication. The tagged documents, signed tag, release commit, and uploaded asset bytes remain unchanged. The historical checks below retain their original revision attribution; documentation review and later checks are recorded in #269.

Provenance and verification

  • Release commit: 5aa6f1e0e47fe9ee524ac5fc2ef2450ab53f4e80.
  • Qualified source: eb233ac75a38779ed1e01b6116aeb24837ab24cc.
  • Stable application baseline: b3901a12d2c541414b45787c21095f57cbc97243.
  • Source regression and Windows/Ubuntu package qualification: CI run 41927052292.
  • Release scope and acceptance record: #267, following #266.

Final-candidate validation passed on Windows with Chromium 151.0.7922.34:

  • All 527 packaged files match the qualified source, the release tree, and the Ubuntu CI asset manifest byte-for-byte.
  • The 543-file release tree retains exactly the 16 approved additional files.
  • Reading/TXT, migration, backup, and concurrent-storage qualification passed (9 recorded cases) across file, HTTP, and static HTTPS modes.
  • All 222 packaged diagnostic cases passed across file, HTTP, and HTTP subpath modes.
  • Missing-PDF metadata and generated HTML practice launch passed in file, HTTP, and HTTPS subpath modes.
  • Windows CI differs only in CRLF checkout line endings for four SVG files and one text license file; those five differences are explicitly recorded in the verification report. This archive preserves the canonical release-tree bytes.

Download release-verification-v0.6.3.2.json for the file manifests, provenance, scenario results, and coverage limits. Automated browser coverage is Chromium; the HTTPS checks use local test certificates and do not represent a public deployment.

The annotated tag v0.6.3.2 is OpenPGP-signed with fingerprint 86D51BCDBC946CF1389969D530479D840D9D562B. Its signed message includes the SHA-256 hashes of the downloadable ZIP and verification report. SHA256SUMS lists the same hashes. Verify the tag with git tag -v v0.6.3.2 using the signer's verified public key, then compare the downloaded assets with the hashes in the signed tag message.
