New

  • Couch can be the real home app. Couch now registers as a home screen. On Fire TV and Android TV nothing changes: the built-in launcher keeps priority and Couch's HOME capture replaces it as before. Where no built-in launcher takes priority, Android asks once which home app to use. Where the built-in home screen is turned off, Couch opens directly on HOME and at boot, with no flash of the stock home and no accessibility service needed.

Under the hood

  • The main activity declares the HOME and DEFAULT categories.
