nah. the JDK 23 change is already there, the scala-xml bump is not applicable, and that leaves the compiler statistics thing which is so niche I think we can skip it (2.12.20 had so few changes it was worth mentioning there)

I'm afraid you've committed a mortal sin, there are unmatched parens in the release notes (in the Compatibility section).

haha I actually noticed that and fixed it earlier today! at least, I don’t think I missed any?

as an ex-Lisper, I concur that the error is heinous
