Release list
Huddle 0.10.1
Windows support 🥳
Huddle now runs on Windows 10/11 with an installer, system-audio recording, and the same features as the Mac app.
GPU transcription
On a PC with an NVIDIA graphics card, Whisper now runs on the GPU. Install the "NVIDIA GPU" version of the model from the marketplace.
Much faster speaker separation
Telling speakers apart is now about 13x faster on every platform. A 53-minute meeting went from over six minutes to 29 seconds, with the same result.
Process on a Huddle Server
Connect Huddle to your own self-hosted Huddle Server and choose, after each recording, whether to process it on your computer or to offload it on your own server. Huddle server can also record meetings in your browser, so you can use any platform or phone to record your meetings. See this repo for self hosting a Huddle server.
Guided setup and AI notes switch
First-time setup now walks you through transcription, speakers, AI notes and notes language. A new "Write AI notes" switch lets you keep only the transcript and speakers.
Clearer summaries when notes can't be written
If AI notes are turned off or no model is installed, the summary section now says why and gives you one button to fix it. Before, it quietly produced nothing.
Huddle 0.8.1
Interview mode (Beta)
Get a clean list of interview questions and answers when Huddle noticed you have interviewed somebody.
Fixed an issue with recovered recordings
Recovered recordings would keep showing a popup every time you launched Huddle, even after recovering a recording. This has now been fixed.
Fixed broken summary with AI model
Don't have an AI model installed? Huddle would previously try to generate a summary anyways, which would most likely be broken. This has now been fixed.
Huddle 0.7.2
Pause during a recording
You can now pause recordings durings a meeting and resume them when you're ready.
Improved speaker recognition in larger groups
When meeting with more than 4 people, speaker recognition and diarization has been improved substantionally.
New transcription model: Parakeet TDT 0.6B v3
Is Whisper not working too well for you? Try downloading Parakeet in the model marketplace to improve the raw transcriptions of your meetings. Parakeet is also much faster at transcribing compared to Whisper Turbo.
Huddle 0.6.4
Fixed issue on macOS 14 and macOS 15
Users on macOS 14 and 15 would run into a "The local processing engine could not start" error on startup. This has now been fixed.
Added markdown support to updater
When Huddle searches for a new update, the release notes field will now be properly formatted instead of showing plain HTML.
Huddle 0.6.2
Moved over to DMG
Changed the zip file into a DMG to make it more clear for new and updating users to replace the current version they have in their Application folder. Running Huddle outside of the application folder can cause issues.
Huddle 0.6.1
Introducing Projects
Add your meetings to a project to keep an overview of which projects belong where. Huddle will suggest existing projects after summarizing if it thinks your meeting is related to other ones. Also ask your AI Agents to reference a project directly in the Huddle UI, or by using MCP.
