v0.1.2

@sd88me sd88me released this 22 Oct 23:34

Fix: installing from Schwung Manager did not create the upload folders, so the flash image and kit (.syx) uploads had nowhere to go. The package now includes the os/, flash/ and kits/ folders.

Install: Schwung Manager > Modules > Install from File with machinemodule-module.tar.gz, or update from the Manager. Requires Schwung 1.7.3 or later. No firmware is included.

Fix: a flash image import that got stuck or failed left the module silent, on every start.

  • The import now stops after 15 minutes. If it fails or times out, the module plays anyway, without the ROM machines, and shows why on screen.
  • A failed image is not retried on every start. Upload a different flash image to try again (check that it is the 8 MB image from a UW on OS 1.63).

Install: Schwung Manager > Modules > Install from File with machinemodule-module.tar.gz, or update from the Manager. Requires Schwung 1.7.3 or later. No firmware is included.

@sd88me sd88me released this 21 Oct 09:39

Machinemodule for Schwung 0.1.0: the Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1 UW sound engine on Ableton Move.

  • 16 tracks on the 16 drum pads. Every page follows the pad you hit.
  • All of the UW's machines except MIDI, RAM and INP, including the CTR machines. The ROM machines work once you upload your flash image.
  • The Machinedrum's track effects and its master effects (echo, reverb, EQ, dynamix), with the knob names as on the MD.
  • A kit list (the factory kits from your flash image and your own kit dumps), per-track Schwung buses, and MD-style accents or velocity.

Install: Schwung Manager > Modules > Install from File with machinemodule-module.tar.gz. Then upload your Machinedrum UW OS 1.63 .syx (required, a free download from Elektron) and, optionally, your flash image .bin on the module's page, and restart Move. The first start after a flash image upload takes about 6 minutes. See the README.

No firmware is included. Requires Schwung 1.7.3 or later.

CPU: this is a heavy emulation. Tested on a standard Move (CM4): a busy 16-track sequence with ROM machines plays clean at the defaults (LTNCY 2, VOICS 10, full master FX). If it clicks, watch PEAK on the Master page and lower VOICS. The README lists further steps.
