FAQ

Answers to common questions about the Storefront Playground. If your question is not here, open an issue.

What is the difference between the playground and Storefront?

The playground is a minimal starter: one component that fetches products and categories. Storefront is the production-ready Vue 3 storefront with all shop pages, basket, checkout and user profile, deployed to Selldone as a Layout.

Do I need a Selldone account to try it?

No. It loads the public demo shop toysworld by default. To load your own shop, change the shop-name meta tag in index.html.

I get "The shop name is not specified in the meta tag with the name 'shop-name'".

StorefrontSDK.Setup() could not find <meta name="shop-name" content="..."> in index.html. Add it back or pass the name to StorefrontSDK.Setup("your-shop").

I get "The service url is not defined in [service-url] meta tag!".

Selldone Core needs <meta content="https://selldone.com" name="service-url">. Keep all Business OS meta tags from the original index.html.

Where does @selldone/core-js come from? It is not in package.json.

It is installed as a dependency of @selldone/sdk-storefront. Install it directly if you want to pin its version.

My editor says fetchProducts is deprecated.

In recent Storefront SDK versions, fetchProducts is a deprecated alias of window.$storefront.products.list(...). Both call the same function; use list in new code.

npm run build fails with type errors.

build runs vue-tsc before vite build, with strict, noUnusedLocals and noUnusedParameters enabled. Fix the reported types or unused variables, or run npx vite build to skip type checking while experimenting.

Why does nothing load until I click the button?

The request runs only in the button's click handler (fecth). Call it from onMounted if you want to load data automatically.

Can I use this code commercially?

The repository does not include a license file yet. Ask in an issue or contact info@selldone.com before reusing it.
