First release of this fork of fbkarsdorp/zotero-remarkable: reMarkable ↔ Zotero over the tablet's USB web interface, with no reMarkable cloud, Connect subscription or SSH.

New in this fork

• Native Zotero annotations. Highlights and handwriting from the tablet come back as Zotero highlights (with their text) and ink annotations on the original PDF, tagged rm:import. Erased on the tablet → removed in Zotero; deleted in Zotero → stays deleted; edited in Zotero → yours, never touched. Annotation import adapted from bpiwowar/zotero-remarkable-sync.
• Reading layouts for small screens. Send to reMarkable (Cropped) trims pages to their text; Send to reMarkable (Split Columns) turns two-column pages into one page per column, keeping titles and wide figures full width. No reflow: annotations made on the converted copy land on the original page.
• The tablet-rendered annotated PDF can still be kept as a sibling attachment.
• Untouched documents are skipped cheaply on every sync.

Install: download zotero-remarkable-usb.xpi below, then Zotero → Tools → Plugins → gear icon → Install Plugin From File. Remove the original reMarkable Sync plugin first if you have it. Requires Zotero 8–10 and reMarkable firmware 3.9+. See the README for setup.
