v0.2.1 — fixes an indexer hang (recommended over v0.2.0)
Patch release. Recommended over v0.2.0 for anyone indexing a real codebase — v0.2.0 can hang during install.
Fixed
- The indexer could hang forever while building the body index (
build-body-index.cjs). Its string-literal scanner used a backreference alternation that backtracks catastrophically. The trigger is small and specific: a single ~450-byte span containing a dense regex literal — backslash escapes plus all three quote characters ('"`) inside character classes, as in a typical RFC-5322 email pattern. One such span was enough to stall the run indefinitely, at step 3 of 4 ofinstall.sh, with no error output. Replaced with linear per-quote patterns; a repo that previously never finished now indexes in under a second. - Regression coverage for the above: the offending literal is pinned as a test fixture, and the body-index step now runs under a hard timeout so a recurrence fails the suite instead of hanging it.
Added
- Second public A/B demo on react-hook-form (v7.87.0, 1302 tests, ~6k graph nodes) — see demo/. Four more headless runs, all ending with the full suite green. The size effect the small demo could not show: the KG-only agent works from ~65k input tokens per task where the plain agent needs 217–354k, at roughly half the cost.
Note
The commit message on the original fix (4145787) misattributed the cause to large JSX test files. That was wrong — repo size is irrelevant; a single dense regex literal does it. Corrected in ef53bea and in the demo write-up.
