Open ADI-2 Control 0.2.2
Fixed
- Headphone EQ: the Options panel ran out of its box in wide windows (two columns in too little
space). It now uses two columns only when the panel has room for them, and the controls of a
row move below its label when they don't fit. - The saved-connection menu in the top bar no longer shrinks in narrow windows.

Fixed
- ADI-2/4 Pro SE: Line Out Ref Level has five values (+1, +7, +13, +19, +24 dBu). 0.2.0 and
earlier used the ADI-2 Pro's four (+4, +13, +19, +24 dBu), so the level was shown and set one
step off. The order is taken as ascending, like the SE's input list in RME's table; not yet
checked on an SE. open-adi2-control get line refprinted a phones level name instead of the line level.
Changed
- Device ID 0x73 is shown as "ADI-2/4 Pro SE / Pro EX" (the ADI-2/4 Pro EX is expected to use the
SE's ID). - A select value the unit reports that RME's MIDI table doesn't list (for example settings the
ADI-2/4 Pro EX added) is shown as#ninstead of(n)or an empty field; the command line
prints it as#nand accepts#nforset.

New
- Headphone EQ tab: an EQ for the ADI-2's five bands (optionally Bass/Treble) from AutoEq's
headphone measurements (736 models, shipped with the app) or your own measurement file, and a
target curve. Apply it to an output, store it as a preset, open it in the preset editor or
save it as.adieqpr. Same fitting as ADI-2-Pi's headphone EQ. - EQ preset files: import and export of ADI-2 Remote's
.adieqprfiles (EQ Presets →
Import…/Export…). - A/B in the preset editor: after Listen, switch the output between its previous EQ (A)
and the preset (B). - Several units: saved connections, switched in the top bar or the tray menu.
- Volume limit profiles, switchable in the tray menu.
- Command line and D-Bus control:
open-adi2-control get|set|setup|preset|refresh …, and the
same over D-Bus (io.github.shells_dw.OpenAdi2Control). See the README. - Keyboard shortcuts in the window (↑/↓, Page ↑/↓, M, D, E, 1–9, Ctrl+Page ↑/↓, ?).
- Light theme and compact layout (Settings → App); dark stays the default.
- The page follows the output whose volume is turned on the unit (Settings → App, on by
default). - Unit status in Settings → Unit: device mode, balanced phones, DSD, AES/SPDIF input signal
(Pro models), raw status words. - Everything is read again after resume from sleep and after the screen is unlocked.
- ADI-2-Pi 1.0.0 "key needed for changes only": without a key the app shows the unit
read-only with a View only badge and asks for the key at the first change. A link to
ADI-2-Pi next to the connection setting. .rpmpackages for Fedora/openSUSE; an AUR PKGBUILD and a Flatpak manifest inpackaging/.
Changed
- Loading a setup asks for confirmation (window, tray menu, shortcut).
- A preset stored without a name is named "Preset N" (its slot).
- Settings from 0.1.x are converted on the first start (connection → saved connections, volume
limits → the profile "Default").
Fixed
- ADI-2-Pi: commands were sent up to 50 ms late; the client now wakes for them at once.

ADI-2-Pi connection
- Access key: when an access key is set on the ADI-2-Pi, enter it under Settings → Connection → Access key. It is sent as header
X-ADI2PI-Key. A missing or wrong key stops the connection and says so (no reconnect loop); after too many wrong keys the app waits a minute before trying again. The key is stored in~/.config/open-adi2-control/config.json, now readable by the user only. - The unit's status message is read from
unitStatus(ADI-2-Pi 1.0.0 and later); earlier bridges'statusstill works. - The ADI-2-Pi search (Find) shows its results again.
Window
- Settings → Unit: the unit's status message updates live.
Packages: .deb (Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12 and newer) and AppImage (glibc 2.35+), for amd64 and arm64.
