v1.1.7

Choose a tag to compare

@shin4488 shin4488 released this 06 Nov 11:16
7993a0a
  • Update @biomejs/biome, used for lint and formatting, to 2.6.4 (#46). The published page is unchanged.
  • Validate lint, the tests (83) and the production build; CI passed on the merged commit, and GitHub Pages deployed it.

v1.1.6

Choose a tag to compare

@shin4488 shin4488 released this 31 Oct 14:07
c129b3c
  • State the actual probability in the binomial use case. The range it quotes (the mean ±2σ rounded outward to whole numbers) was described as holding "about 95%" of outcomes, but for every slider setting the probability is between 96.48% and 100%; the text now shows the computed probability, such as 99.41% for the default n=20, p=0.3 (#43).
  • Add the missing condition to the beta distribution summary: X/(X+Y) is beta-distributed when the two gammas X and Y share the same scale (#43).
  • Make the English explanations read naturally, including the tagline under the heading, the use cases of several distributions and the "Find by case" page ("enquiry" becomes "inquiry"), and fix the Japanese Bernoulli summary and the message shown after sending feedback (#43).
  • Add tests for card reordering, reset, the histogram scale and parameters at the edges of their ranges (#44).
  • Correct two code comments that misstated their conditions (#45).
  • Validate lint, type checking, the tests and the production build; CI passed on the merged commit. The published site serves the bundle built from #43, shows the new binomial use case with 99.41% in Japanese and English, and renders without page errors.

v1.1.5 — Dependency updates

Choose a tag to compare

@shin4488 shin4488 released this 30 Oct 11:23
336e7f5
  • Update chart.js to 4.6.1, @biomejs/biome to 2.6.2 and vite to 8.3.5 (#42).
  • Keep Markdown out of the Biome formatter, which Biome 2.6 enables by default; its output added a blank line inside skill frontmatter and removed blank lines before lists (#42).
  • Check the displayed moments and the URL defaults against hand-computed values in tests (#41).
  • Validate lint, type checking, 72 tests and the production build; CI passed on the merged commit. The published site serves the bundle built from #42 and renders the charts without console errors.

v1.1.4 — Unused code removal

Choose a tag to compare

@shin4488 shin4488 released this 25 Oct 03:13
1e8e232
  • Remove translation keys that no screen reads (guide.category.all, guide.choose and guide.why), the binWidth field of histogram results that no caller reads, and the feedback form placeholder check, which was always true because the form URL is set. The pages do not change (#40).
  • Align the README, the specification and the comments with the code, and add comments on the reasons behind focus handling, URL state, tick limits and gamma sampling (#40).
  • Validate lint, type checking, 62 tests and production build on Node.js 24; the published site serves the new bundle without the removed keys, renders the charts without console errors and still shows the feedback form link.

v1.1.3 — Dependency updates

Choose a tag to compare

@shin4488 shin4488 released this 23 Oct 11:10
7c44c7b
  • Update React and React DOM to 19.3.1, Vite to 8.3.4 and Vitest to 5.0.5, with no intended UI change.
  • Run CI and deploy checks on Node.js 24 LTS through the docker-compose.yml image, so local development and production builds use the same Node.js version.
  • Validate lint, type checking, 62 tests and production build on Node.js 24; the published site serves the new bundle (React 19.3.1) and renders charts without console errors.

v1.1.2 — Dependency updates

Choose a tag to compare

@shin4488 shin4488 released this 15 Oct 11:16
169a6fe
  • Update the toolchain and runtime libraries: React 19.3, Vite 8, Vitest 5, TypeScript 7, @vitejs/plugin-react 6, Tailwind CSS 4.3.3 and Biome 2.5.15, with no intended UI change.
  • Update the transitive source-map-js dependency to 1.2.2 for GHSA-68fv-2mgg-jv7q (development-only).
  • Update actions/setup-node to v7.1.0, pinned to its commit SHA.
  • Add a weekly Dependabot configuration with a 7-day cooldown, grouped by ecosystem.
  • Clarify in AGENTS.md that comments state only intent the code cannot show.
  • Validate lint, type checking, 62 tests and production build on Node 22; the published site serves the new bundle and renders charts without console errors.

v1.1.1 — Built-in Tailwind utilities

Choose a tag to compare

@shin4488 shin4488 released this 04 Oct 05:18
71b6ca8
  • Replace custom style values with built-in Tailwind utilities and theme classes (spacing scale, size-*, fill-card/stroke-card, body color transition), with no visual change.
  • Update and pin GitHub Actions to commit SHAs.
  • Consolidate agent guidance in AGENTS.md and clarify implementation rationale in code comments.
  • Validate lint, type checking, 62 tests and production build; 34 before/after screenshots across themes, languages, guide pages and desktop/mobile widths are pixel-identical, and the published site matches them.

v1.1.0 — Visual use-case guide and meaningful analytics

Choose a tag to compare

@shin4488 shin4488 released this 21 Sep 01:21
6bb5dbe

What's new

  • Find probability distributions through an illustrated use-case guide, with Japanese and English explanations, assumptions, and links to interactive charts.
  • Improve responsive chart controls and case-detail layouts, and clarify gamma and beta examples.
  • Measure content views, guide journeys, actual graph exploration, simulation use, and feedback without sending numeric settings. Ignore changes that clamp back to the current value.
  • Add a GA4 monitoring dashboard for visits, the guided path, distributions used, devices, acquisition, and feedback.
  • Upgrade Vitest to address a file-read security alert, restrict default workflow token permissions, and improve project documentation.

Validation

  • Lint, TypeScript, all 62 tests, and production build passed.
  • Checked all 10 guide cases in both languages, desktop and narrow mobile layouts, invalid URLs, numeric boundaries, and guide-to-chart navigation.
  • New analytics dimensions start with newly collected data; historical data is not backfilled.

PRs: #24, #25

  • GitHub Pages deployed the release commit successfully. Live checks confirmed case-to-chart navigation, parameter updates, sampling, and state restoration after reload, with no console errors.
  • GA4 Realtime received the new guide and exploration events, including the exploration key event.

v1.0.1

Choose a tag to compare

@shin4488 shin4488 released this 10 Sep 13:46
936afd1
  • Restrict Tailwind scanning to UI sources to prevent documentation from affecting generated styles.
  • Update vulnerable PostCSS and Browserslist dependencies.

v1.0.0 — Probability Distribution Visualizer

Choose a tag to compare

@shin4488 shin4488 released this 06 Jul 13:15
0759501

First stable release. 🎉

Live site: https://shin4488.github.io/probability-distribution-visualization/

Features

  • 10 probability distributions (Bernoulli, binomial, Poisson, geometric, negative binomial, normal, log-normal, exponential, gamma, beta), ordered the way statistics is learned — prerequisites first, related distributions adjacent
  • Interactive parameter sliders driving real-time PDF/PMF rendering, with mean/std readouts and use-case explanations that embed the current parameter values
  • Sample histograms with a seedable RNG (fixed seed while dragging, explicit Resample) and adjustable sample size
  • Shareable URLs — parameters, card order, hidden cards, histogram settings, language, and theme all live in the query string; just copy the address bar
  • Japanese / English UI and dark / light themes (URL > saved preference > OS setting)
  • Drag & drop reordering, filter chips, use-case visibility toggle
  • User feedback: 👍/👎 rating widget and a Google Form for requests and comments
  • SEO (OGP, hreflang, JSON-LD, sitemap) and GA4 usage analytics

Engineering

  • Strictly layered TypeScript (pure domain math in log space → state → React/Chart.js UI), Tailwind CSS v4 design tokens
  • Docker-only development, minimal exact-pinned dependencies, hash-pinned GitHub Actions, Biome linting, 49 vitest tests sweeping the whole distribution registry
  • CI on every PR; GitHub Pages deployment from main
