Unseencue 0.4.1

@shivamshinde123 shivamshinde123 released this 07 Nov 07:52

Fixed in 0.4.1

  • The control bar always fits the window. On some screens the teleprompter opens narrower than expected, and the floating bar ran past the window's edge, cutting off the ✕ button. The bar now measures itself and tidies up step by step until every button fits: it hides the time left and the logo first, and keeps the Paste and Upload labels as long as possible. The window can't be made narrower than 420 px, the smallest size where every control fits.

Download

Windows Unseencue-Setup.exe (installer, adds a Start menu entry) or Unseencue.exe (portable)
Mac, Apple Silicon Unseencue-mac-arm64.dmg
Mac, Intel Unseencue-mac-x64.dmg

Already installed on Windows? Run the new installer; it updates in place and keeps your settings.

First launch on Mac: right-click (or Control-click) the app → Open → Open, or go to System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway. The app isn't signed with a paid Apple certificate.

Windows SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC". Click More info → Run anyway.

Responsible use

Unseencue is made for creating: recording videos, demos and presentations. Please don't use it in interviews, coding assessments, exams, or anywhere notes aren't allowed.

@shivamshinde123 shivamshinde123 released this 07 Nov 07:31

What's new in 0.4.0: Unseencue for Mac 🍎

  • macOS app. Download the DMG for your Mac: Apple Silicon (M1–M4) or Intel. Drag Unseencue into Applications.
  • Mac-native touches. An app menu with Settings… (⌘,) and Move Back Home (⌘0). The teleprompter stays visible over full-screen apps and on every desktop (Space). Microphone and camera permission prompts explain why access is needed.
  • Hidden from capture, tested on a Mac. On GitHub's macOS 15.8 Apple Silicon test machine, a protected window was absent from the screen capture while a normal window was captured. Apple has changed screen capture in recent macOS versions, so use Settings › Check it's hidden now with the app you record with.
  • The product video now mentions the Mac version (Unseencue-promo.mp4).

Download

Windows Unseencue-Setup.exe (installer, adds a Start menu entry) or Unseencue.exe (portable)
Mac, Apple Silicon Unseencue-mac-arm64.dmg
Mac, Intel Unseencue-mac-x64.dmg

First launch on Windows: SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC". Click More info → Run anyway.
