hron 2.1.0

hron 2.1 adds a tenth implementation: a native Kotlin package for Android and the JVM (#107). Every other package is unchanged from 2.0.0 and takes the new version number, because hron's packages share one version.

New: Kotlin

  • Package: io.hron:hron-kotlin on Maven Central, in the package io.hron.kotlin. It is written in Kotlin from the spec, not as a wrapper of the Java package.
  • Requirements: Android 12 (API 31) or later, or Java 17 or later, in apps on Kotlin 2.2 or later. Its only dependency is the Kotlin standard library.
  • API: the spec's names: Schedule.parse, fromCron, validate, nextFrom, nextNFrom, previousFrom, matches, occurrences, between and toCron. Timestamps are ZonedDateTime, an absent value is null, and occurrences and between return lazy Sequences. The parts are sealed interfaces, so when over them is exhaustive.
  • Tested: it passes every case of the conformance suite on the JVM and on Android emulators at API 31 and 37. It agrees with the other implementations on every generated and DST stress case.
