v0.12.0
Large-N raster backend + a live browser demo.
Raster (canvas) backend — new canvas feature
A self-contained RGBA PixelBackend that rasterises points/lines/polygons/text (via ab_glyph + the bundled font) in pure Rust — fast for large-N (no DOM node per mark) and wasm-compatible (unlike the plotters bitmap backend). 500k points render to a bitmap in a fraction of a second.

Live demo 🌐
https://sipemu.github.io/ggplot-rs/ — auto-deployed from main. DuckDB-Wasm (spatial extension) reads Natural Earth countries into a hover-able choropleth, plus a 100k-point scatter drawn by the raster backend, entirely in the browser.
No breaking changes — canvas is opt-in and native builds are unchanged.
